I had compared travelling to Stonehenge from Bath by ourselves with taking a tour group and it was cheaper to go with a group. Scarper was the only company I could find going from Bath. The booking was easy to make online and gave all details needed. The bus was easy to find, only purple bus in the lot, and it was a smaller sized group so you wouldn't get lost in a big crowd. Our driver was Chris, who was very pleasant and welcoming. He pointed out little landmarks and facts as we drove past and through little towns on the way. It was very easy when we arrived, Chris organised our wrist bands and audio guides and directed us where to go. He made it very clear what time we would be departing so there was no confusion in the group. On the way back he provided some more information in the form of a display folder to pass around. A very enjoyable trip and would highly recommend.
The only thing I could suggest would be to increase the time at Stonehenge by about 30 minutes to allow people time to walk from the visitors centre to Stonehenge if they wanted. By the time we listened to the audio guide, and we did not spend time dilly dallying, we didn't think we would have enough time to walk back and still get to see the exhibition properly so had to catch the shuttle bus both ways.
