We thoroughly enjoyed it...and wish we'd had more time...definitely will be going back again. Definitely put all your valuables and mobiles in the locker. Unfortunately our robe was taken with a valuable... We did get it back thanks to amazing staff, but really it was our fault!

I had booked this for my mum's birthday and was a little unsure based on the reviews here, but we had a lovely time. I booked the Thermae Treat so we had a massage and facial each, and then 3 hours to try out the pools and steam rooms - we enjoyed the rooftop pool and the lazy river in the pool downstairs. Some minor points - there's not really anywhere to sit and read/relax, and the showers are on a different floor from the changing rooms - this was fine for us, but I can imagine when it's really busy it would be a bit chaotic. We didn't have to queue as we had pre booked, but the queue wasn't very long when we arrived (Monday morning). Overall a lovely morning and fantastic treatments.

To call this dreadful place a spa is just wrong. It’s actually a dreadful, ugly, insanely overpriced public swimming-pool. After standing in line for 2 hours ( that’s right two hours ) what we arrived at was a worn out building, lacking any charm what so ever, with no place to relax, read a book, or just talk and unwind. It was so crowded and stressful, staff seemed depressed, and the facilities were just awful. Also the fact that no-one showered properly before entering the baths ( you can only shower in your swim-suit, I can only imagine the health hassard this weird and highly unusual routine represents ) made the whole experience just crazy, really. And so, we wanted to leave. But we could not get a refund on our “express massages” ( I will leave it to you whether this sounds at all relaxing ) because of “the general policy” of the place. Such utter bollocks, what kind of a business does not offer a refund on something which is fully paied and cancelled well ahead? We even asked if they could then at least just give our massages to someone else, but hell no, also “impossible due to our policy”. Place is a rip-off, we hated every minute of it. We ended up paying 154 pounds to stand in line for two hours and then a quick swim in a worn out overly crowded pool. Sigh!

Thank you for your comments and for visiting Thermae Bath Spa. We are sorry to hear that you were left feeling disappointed by aspects of your experience.

We fully accept that the spa can be busy at times. As a World Heritage Site, Bath is a popular destination for days out and short breaks meaning weekends and certain holiday periods can be particularly busy. We are very mindful of the number of visitors entering the spa at peak times and make every effort to manage the operation to ensure that everyone has an enjoyable experience.

With regards to the Express Massages, these are shorter treatments that are offered on the day depending on availability. As it clearly states on our website, we cannot offer refunds on cancellations within 24hrs of arrival. We are sorry that you did not want to experience your treatments, and chose to leave the spa early.

We respect your views on the price of entry and we try our best to make Thermae Bath Spa as accessible as possible. Most of our customer feedback suggests that many of our guests believe Thermae to be good value for money, so we do apologise that you feel this way.

Once again, thank you for your feedback.

I always have a great time here but there is one room that would be amazing but I always find a let down. It's the space room.. Amazing to lay down in, looks like the starlit roof in a RollsRoyce but this room is room temperature.. Not heated.. Its just like a nothing room

Live in the city of Bath so no loads of people who have visited. Very very impressed with the cleanliness of the police, and the whole ambience. Was an excellent place to unwind, and would definetly go back on a winters night again.
