This place is tremendous. Unpretentious but stylish, food amazing, wine well priced. Where else can you get a 5 course taster menu with matching wines for £50! you must go. thank you for a memorable lunch. And only 15 minutes from our door - as Arnie said " I'll be back"

Well worth the steep hill walk from the station, the "get what you're given" taster menu, at £25 for lunch and £35 for dinner in this tiny, bright and welcoming restaurant is pure perfection.

The format is modern, informal and convivial - chef's indie-rock playlist blasts out Kings of Leon, Blur and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers as diners are treated to a series of delicious, exciting, seasonal courses, presented beautifully and accompanied by a diverse and reasonably priced wine list.

A pretty, smiling waitress dressed in jeans attentively refills glasses of chilled tap water from a retro Murano glass jug, and explains each surprise course as it arrives from the open kitchen at one end of the room,

The restaurant is very small and intimate, so probably best suited to couples or small groups.

I'd recommend anyone who visits Bath who is a bit of a foodie to make a reservation at this delightful restaurant as a priority - it is a treat - and its talented young chef is clearly destined for many accolades.

We are so happy we got reservations here. We emailed them 2 weeks in advance of our trip. Since we were only staying two nights in Bath, they were booked for dinner, but we were lucky to get a 1:30 lunch reservation. . BOOK EARLY! It is so worth it. Lunch was only chef's menu- 4 delicious courses and each was a perfect surprise. This is a #1 trip advisor restaurant for Bath and is totally worth its ranking! Reasonable priced for a very special experience.

Book, book NOW, without delay before he gets reviewed by Michelin. Its hard enough to get a table now, it will be impossible in a few months' time. Before we finished the starter we had rebooked for my birthday and it is already fully booked for the next 4 months. Why am I telling you this.....!

Its tiny, its quirky, there is no menu - you get what you are given and it is sublime. A rare treat in Bath where passing trade means restauranteurs rarely try. Thank you. We had such a wonderful time.

I love the format, I would not change a single thing, and of course the food is a truly exceptional experience, there is only one way of responding and that is to go back again and again.

Sadly this fact means that Menu Gordon Jones is destined for greatness and thus the format will change, but success is deserved. I just hope I am able to return before events overtake the venue.

We visited on our wedding anniversary, for lunch and ate what is the most memorable meal of the last 30 years.

Thankyou, you deserve 1st place in TripAdvisor!
