“Exactly What You Need in Bath”

LOCATION: Can’t be beat. You’ll be an easy five-minute walk from the train station: it’s closer than it looks on the map. The heart of the city center is a stone's-throw away. A big Marks and Spencer grocery is around the corner. Yet despite being in the middle of everything, this little street is almost always quiet and peaceful. We felt very secure with a locked front door to the street as well as our locked apartment door above.

Mark is a good communicator, and sent us excellent instructions and maps before our arrival. He was waiting for us at the apartment when we arrived. All we had to do was push the door buzzer and he answered the intercom. He ran down to greet us and helped us carry our bags up the stairs. Yes, there are a lot of stairs, but it shouldn’t be a problem unless you have some type of mobility issues.

APARTMENT: This place has been thoughtfully put together and has everything you’ll need. The style is modern, clean contemporary. The beds are very good, and the heat, internet, plumbing and appliances all function great.

Mark is a friendly guy and wants to please. He left us a large bouquet of flowers as well as some breakfast foods to get us started.

DEPARTING: As easy as arrival--just leave the keys on the table and pulled the locked doors behind you. (We simply walked back to the train station, where we hired a cab to take us to the Hertz office about a ten minute drive away, where we left for the Cotswolds.)

OVERALL: If you want a little more room and privacy than you’ll find in a hotel, you won’t go wrong by staying at Jack’s Place in Bath.

“Excellent flat, modern and centrally located.”

This is a lovely 2 bedroom flat very close to The Abbey. It's perfect for a family with 2 children. A double bedroom and two single beds upstairs. A small bath upstairs and en-suite downstairs. The kitchen/sitting room/dining room is all in one. It is a very high quality recent renovation. One thing to note that is not clear in the description - is that the washer/dryer is located in the cellar and is shared with the other flat. All in all, a lovely flat - and to be greeted by the actual owners is always a plus - lovely people they are too.

“Home away from home !”
Reviewed 2 September 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Jack's Place is a clean and comfortable place right in the middle of Bath. We loved staying there and would definitely stay there again. We were greeted at the Railway station and was brought to the apartment.

Location : Strategic !
A stone's throw away from everything !
2 mins walk to Mark & Spencer for groceries and shopping
5 mins walk to shopping and middle of town
5 mins to Roman Baths and less than 30 mins walk from all the Bath attractions in town.
2 mins walk to Thai restaurant
5 mins walk to the Railway Station and Bus station
Garden downstairs where we sat for breakfast !

Apartment :
Clean, comfortable and has all you need. From dishwasher to coffee machine, washing machine ( in the basement) to Blu Ray dvd player where you can also dock your ipods.
As we arrived late, we were really grateful for the staples provided like croissants, milk , butter, tea, coffee, biscuits.
A Beautiful bouquet of lilies and its scents greeted us when we arrived as well. What a lovely touch.
The beds are so comfortable and the linens are luxurious. Towels provided were big and fluffy and soft.
Bathrooms had tolietries as expected as if you are in a hotel.
We love it and would definitely stay there again !

Thank you for looking after us so well !

“Fantastic in every way!”
Reviewed 25 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

From my initial enquiry all the way through to check out I cannot fault the agent that deals with Jack's Place. Emails were answered promptly and all my questions answered no matter how trivial. We were met by Helen at the apartment at 12:30 straight from our train which was fantastic considering official check in isn't until 14:00. The apartment is in a fantastic location just around the corner from everything! Literally! As mentioned in other reviews there are a few flights of stairs up to the apartment but they are small steps! Helen showed us around gave us our keys and said to contact her if their were any problems. Tea, coffee, milk, biscuits and croissants along with fresh flowers were a lovely extra touch. The kitchen is well equipped with a fab coffee machine, fridge, oven and microwave. A collection of DVD's is also an added bonus not that we had time to watch any! The lounge area with corner sofa and chair and dining room table gives plenty of space for relaxing and watching TV. There is also a docking station on the sound bar for an iPod/iPhone 4 or older. Free wi-fi is great for keeping up to date whilst you are away! The main bedroom is on the same floor as the lounge/kitchen has a lovely double bed, wardrobe and an original fire place with an ensuite shower room and is tastefully decorated. The second bedroom up the stairs and into the attic with two velux windows was arranged as a twin with wardrobe chair and another ensuite with a bath. An iron and ironing board in the wardrobe came in handy and a hair dryer and Hoover. Bed linen and towels are provided too. The apartment was clean and well presented in a quiet street with everything on your doorstep. Not being overly familiar with Bath I was pleasantly surprised how well located it is. I cannot find fault with anything only two suggestions 1. Blackout blinds in the bedrooms and 2. How about a small dressing table with mirror on the large landing up to the 2nd bedroom? Ideal for getting ready for nights out! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this apartment for groups of friends or families we loved it! Will definitely stay again if I visit
Bath again thank you.
