My husband and I recently had a night's stay in this hotel. We found our room very clean, tidy, and comfortable if a little dark due to the decor. We had delicious meals served by very friendly, efficient staff. We were impressed by what was provided in the room and also the bathroom, particularly because we had booked one night only on a special offer. We can thoroughly recommend it, and its very convenient, central position.

We were given a Hotel stay in the Royal as part of our honeymoon and can reccomend this excellant Hotel if you wish to have a treat. Excellant service, and rooms with a very freindly staff through-out. The food was also excellant and i would happily stay there again given the opportunity.

Room Tip: All the rooms are of an excellant standard as far as we saw.

My Husband ,Myself and another couple went to Bath for the weekend taking advantage of a special offer at the Royal hotel, when we arrived we booked a car parking space for a very good rate.
The hotel was very clean, rooms had everything you need and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the breakfast, there was a really good selection we had the full english, cooked to order and the dinner was also extremely good, the hotel has a lovely ambience and we would love to stay again.
The Roman baths were amazing, much more to see than i expected, The Abbey is beautiful, the river and parks were only a short walk from the hotel and the shopping centre was just around the corner. So much to see so little time.

Room Tip: The other couple had a room overlooking the shops ours was at the back of the hotel(no View)

Booked a travelzoo special at this hotel which was very convenient for the railway station and the centre of Bath. Very good value in what is an expensive city to stay in due to the volume of foriegn tourists who visit.
The Hotel is clean and comfortable but could probably do with a little TLC. The staff were efficient and friendly and we had no complaints. The food and service were very good value and I would recommend this Hotel as a good base from which to explore Bath.

Travel by train if you only want to see the sights in Bath itself. The main sights are within walking distance whereas parking is expensive and the roads can be a nightmare!
