“Lovely!”
Reviewed 23 April 2012

This hotel is superbly situated in the middle of the lovely city of Bath. We had a fairly small twin bedded room which was clean and well furnished. The bathroom was also very clean and although on the small side served its functions well. We looked out onto other buidlings which wasn't great but for a base to explore the room was fine. We took the breakfast option and I thoroughly recommend this. They were very filling and set us up for the day. The hot food was good and served at the table.

The position of the hotel is brilliant - the station is only a five minute walk away and the tour buses stop outside. The brilliant Comedy Walk also starts outside. All in all a good reasonably priced hotel.

Stayed at the Best Western Abbey for 2 nights for a girly trip to Bath. A 4 minute walk from the station and perfect location for getting around the city.
On arrival we were given a basement room which looked out on to the shabbiest area you could imagine. The room was pleasant but we decided to request a move. The reeptionist was helpful and happily moved us to a ground floor room without question. The room was clean tidy and comfortable. There was a fair amount of noise from the Huntsman pub over the street until the early hours, not the fault of the hotel, but if you prefer something a little quieter, request a room away from the front.
Breakfast was tasty and plentiful, and the staff were all friendly and polite. Would definitely stay here again for a base to looking around Bath.

Went here for afternoon tea as part of a mini pre wedding hen day out in Bath. There was some confussion over timings of the dining room being open and when you could have what. However the food was divine and the waiter was so polite and helpful. Would definately recommend :)

This hotel is located smack bang in Central Bath. Rooms are on the smallish side, but it's a city centre location and it's good value too. I paid £75 booking through Best Western.com.

The internet in this hotel is free and was pretty fast. I didn't eat in the restaurant but beverages are served 24 hours in the downstairs lounge.

The room was clean, had a flat screen TV and an average sized double bed.

The bathroom again was clean and a bit bigger than I expected working on the size of the bedroom. Shower pressure was brilliant.

All in all I would recommend this hotel. The only downside is parking if you have a car. There is a public car park about 300 meteres away, but it doesn't look that secure. Overnight parking cost about £4. You will need to be there early in the morning to get another ticket or run the risk of getting a fine.

I have already booked this hotel again for May.

Right in the centre of Bath. Brilliantly situated! Lovely room. Lovely dining room. Great staff. Only fault was noise from what appeared to be an exhaust vent, possible from kitchen. Always knew when it was 10pm because it suddenly went blissfully quiet. Would stay again, for sure. But away from noisy vent next time.
