I shared a twin room with a friend as part of a larger party staying here. Nice room but a sliding door for the bathroom which didn't meet the frame properly so not much privacy. The room didn't seem as luxurious as the price reflected but it was nice.

As an old building, you could hear other guests during the night and early in the morning.

Breakfast was fantastic with everything presented really uniquely and very well.

Nicely designed and arranged rooms. Lots of good touches like honesty bar and fridge for guests, free wifi, etc, DAB radio in bedrooms. Excellent breakfasts (and attractive breakfast room): lots of good tasty well-made food with ingredients from local suppliers. Stairs are steep, but ground floor rooms are available.
It's a bit further out of the town centre than we'd expected, but still only a 10 minute walk to main shopping area.

Room Tip: Might be quieter at the back, but the main road traffic didn't disturb us.

Room was not ready as we arrived a little early, so they immediately upgraded us to the king-size room. The staff were very accommodating, and knew everything there was to know about local bars and restaurants. The room itself was very clean and comfortable, and the honesty bar is a great feature. Breakfast was very good. I would definitely recommend staying here, and would be very happy to visit again in the future.

Friendly staff, very welcoming. Comfortable room. Excellent freshly prepared breakfast. Within easy walking distance of city and parking available nearby . Short walk to very good gastro pub for evening meals. Recommended.
