I was very pleasantly surprised when I visited the Cafe Saffron at the Admiral Duncan. I've never personally visited the Indian in Baschurch but I have been to the Cafe Saffron in Shrewsbury's town centre, so I had high expectations.
I opted for my all time favourite king prawn korma with a pilau rice, the guys at the restaurant really accommodated for the fact I can't eat gluten and told me what I could have, the waiters were so friendly and personable & even gave us shots of Bailey's on the house at the end of the meal with the towels.
We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals, they were all freshly cooked and using the highest quality ingredients, and you could tell this!
It was a Friday night so the restaurant was busy and people were coming in and out for takeaways so it must be popular within the area. Plenty of parking on site at the pub, the toilets were of a very poor standard, no toilet roll in the cubicals & the hand dryer didn't work either.
But overall food was fantastic and so was the service! Would recommend and I will be going again!
