We have just got back from an amazing easter break, we stayed for 6 nights and have to say we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would have loved to stay longer.

Chris and katrina have worked very hard to make this campsite what it is, lovely landscaping, set up just right, hardstanding on all pitches with all services, lots of space to pitch on and quite private as a hedgerow between pitches.

Dave was an excellent help setting up our awning when it was raining, nothing was too much trouble, he helped us set up both awning and get caravan into position.

The stay just got better every day, the new kids play area is fantastic, excellent facilities including chemical disposal, laundry room, showers recycling etc. And of course our favourite the "shed" bar/cafe complete with log burner, fully stocked bar with draught beers, wines and spirits. Even coffee if your that way inclined.

The bar was very reasonably priced with excellent quality products and we were in there every evening. Chris and Dave mainly served behind the bar and were very entertaining and our daughter ellie made 2 new friends and was constantly shouting chrrrisss and davvvveee!!! She loved them.

Katrina and hilda were lovely hosts and nothing was too much trouble for anyone and we feel that we made new friends there.

All the people camping on the site were lovely and friendly, the site as a whole was very peaceful with no noise between 11pm and 8am which was very nice, and nice to have rules that were adhered to.

This is the best campsite we have ever stayed at and we will certainly return, hopefully when the weather is a bit better.

Dont miss this site amazing sums it up. Great people, great surroundings, very good location for various locations.

Keep up the excellent work, and see you soon.

Just stayed for three nights, couldn't do enough for people, so helpful. Site is small but perfectly formed as they say. These owners been here a few years and have spent time and money in all the right places. Pitch was perfectly level, services all to hand. Took us to our pitch on arrival. Helped set up, nothing was to much trouble.
small toilet block, very clean all the time, plenty of hot water (does have those annoying push buttons on the show that don't last) little shop with local produce, very nice little café / bar, log burner & local beers, is the hub of the site and to be honest this made it for us as is that something special. we stayed in adults area, again perfectly formed, raised pond, fountain and koi. New very large pond behind will look great when the grass grows back. The wardens here really make this and spent lots of time helping us and others get the best from your stay. Happy to book things for you off site which was a great help.

Well done Chris and Dave, 12 years and I can safely say its the best place we have ever stayed.

Room Tip: So friendly, treat you like family and you will want to go back.

Just returned from a weekend away at Cartref. What an amazing site, friendly and welcoming. We have had a snowy stay but enjoyed every minute. The facilities at this site are second to none. The shower block was warm and very clean. It makes a change to get out of the shower and not feel an urgency to get dry to become warm again. Dave and Hilda the Site wardens made us feel very welcome, especially in the Bartref (Cosy Snug Bar) It was lovely to sit and have a few drinks out of the cold, with the log burner to keep everyone warm. Very sociable and nice to sit and talk about our caravanning experiences with others staying on the site. Chris and Katrina the Owners were the perfect hosts too. Fresh produce on site, home made brownies and cakes in the bar with a nice hot chocolate....mmmmm. We were sad to leave today, but thanks to Chris back tomorrow to collect the van due to the few inches of snow we woke up to this morning. Looking forward to our next visit very soon. Just spent a week at this gorgeous site and will hopefully return next summer.
We took a caravan and had one of the serviced pitches in the adult only side of the park.
Pitches are large with great views of the surrounding countryside. The park is pretty and very well maintained, all facilities are kept very clean.
The owners and wardens are friendly and helpful giving good advice on places to visit.
We loved the little bar, a great place to enjoy a g and t before dinner.

My sister and I stayed here for the second time with our touring caravan in August 2018. The site is easy to access and although quiet and peaceful in the countryside, is close to local attractions and points of interest. The pitches are well laid out and the facilities are excellent. Everything is spotlessly clean and the grounds are beautifully landscaped. showers/loos are very good with lashings of hot water and immaculately clean. Pets are welcome and there are plenty of places to walk them. The welcoming and helpful owners are on site all the time and keep a discreet but watchful eye on the site to make sure all is well and everyone is happy. There is a separate adults area and plenty of space for children to enjoy themselves. The onsite shop is well stocked with local produce and essentials and there is a small bar/café for drinks with an attractive seating area. This was out second visit and we will certainly be returning next year. We loved it!
