Myself and my family have stayed here a few times now I find the staff excellent and accommodating! All the locals are welcoming too! Highly recommend this place!! The food is great! And all this a stones throw from the iconic bridge! One thing I will say is Go off the beaten track and explore the local aera! There's so much more than just the bridge!!!

We found this beautiful pub on the onternet after reading the reviews.
We booked last minute for Mothers day for 3 of us and had a table booked for 12pm.
What a lovely rustic pub. So welcoming, ordered drinks, shown to our table and menus explained.
We chose the Mothers day menu - 3 courses for £15, but there was a fantastic choice also available on the blackboard.
All homemade and freshly cooked.
We all had the pate for starters followed by 2 of us having the roast- choice of 3 meats and all the trimmings and one choosing the plaice.
All hot and nicely presented.
We were not rushed, everything was timed beautifully in between courses, drinks brought to the table and then the menu for desserts.
Two of us had mango roulade and one had sticky toffee pudding with butterscotch sauce.
Again very tasty!
A fantastic meal and great customer service.
We will be back again.
Thank you x

Spent an excellent afternoon here with friends , eating drinking and watching the racing . Great afternoon with great hospitality . The choice of beers was excellent and the food we were served was superb along with the never ending supply of superb cheeses . Thoroughly recommend you pay them a visit .

Great place to stay. Accommodation is clean and comfortable. Food is great. Friendly place to stay and Helen and her team make sure you want for nothing. Welcoming to our two spaniels as well. A real find.

It's a pub, so need to consider context.

It's a lovely place, traditional, the Americans would lap this place up. Good mixture of ales, nice atmosphere, even a chap providing live music.

We were here for a meal in the restaurant and I was a bit disappointed however 2 of the 4 of us weren't. It was very 50:50. My food was bland and lacked seasoning and flavour however the portion size was ok and presentation was good.

The context is that it's a pub and not a restaurant......maybe I would expecting a bit more from the food......

The rest was very good.
