So authentic, friendly and knowledable staff. The pub is superb serving real ale, sadly, not at Victorian proces ! The Ironbridge Museum passport (with no end date), it is particularly good value; gives you access to all the museums in the Gorge area.

“A really brilliant day out!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 February 2012

Blists Hill is a 100% must-see! We had the benefit of seeing it as it started snowing which really added to the atmosphere. We loved the fact that you can change your modern-day money into Victorian currency in the bank there, before spending it all by the fire in the pub with a round-the-piano singalong. The worker's cottages were beautiful and eye-opening. You can purchase sweets in the old sweet shop, see victorian schooling at its best (or most frightening), buy (delicious) cinnamon breads and more in the bakery plus fish and chips victorian style from the chipper.

Blists is a brilliant concept, lovingly executed. The victorian dress-attired staff there are amazing - really informative and friendly. We could happily have spent hours in front of the fire with the lovely lady in the old toll house but we had places to see and farthings to get rid of back in the pub!

A really great day out and excellent value for money.

“A WHOLE FAMILY DAY OUT”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 February 2012

The imagination to create Blists Hill is wonderful. I think you need to know a little of the Industrial Revolution or be prepared to learn. The recreations or transfers, and reenactments are wonderful.
You can spend a whole day with your family without becoming bored or overtired.
A better option is to come and spend a weekend with a family passport to all the Ironbridge Museum sites. Thgey are all fun in different ways , and "museum" should not put you off!
NB I am NOT on commission!

Lots to go, see and do but exhausting!

Don't go if you have problems walking, I do and struggled quite a lot.
