Poorly equipped: no curtains (blinds provided but have gaps and show light), no bathroom lock, minimal bedroom furniture (one had two beds and a clothes rain only... nothing else), no grill pan, minimal kitchen equipment, no bins in rooms including the bathroom.
Poor state of repair: fraying, stained poorly fitting carpets with grippers on stairs coming through carpet when walked on. We found earwigs in three rooms in the property including the kitchen area.
All the garden is to the front of the property: we felt disturbed by the road noise and I would consider it unsafe for children due to the rail fence. The double fronted 'garage' shown in the photographs is occupied by a tenant.
Poor response from owners. e.g. four towels were left as the original inquiry indicated four (this was updated to five at booking). When we asked for another towel this was not provided (reason given was that the key was not left outside where it was on our arrival- with passports etc in the property we were surprised that they thought this would be the case and assumed they would use a spare key).
