Selected this hotel for a short stay in Oxford after many years experience of Jurys in Ireland. Good to see that all the high standards have been maintained.
Location at end of main link road to M40 apron 3 miles from city centre. Large car park with enough spaces for all residents. No need to take car into city centre - bus stop approx 50 metres from hotel.
Hotel is ultra modern as are the rooms. The rooms are a little on the small side - especially the bathroom, OK for s short stay but probably not for a long stay. All the usual fittings and spotlessly clean.
Restaurant by Marco Pierre White serves excellent food in the evening. The breakfast was OK but on the first morning they were having difficulty keeping the hot buffet fully stocked due to large numbers of guests. Second day no issues.
TOP TIP - if you book on line you can pre pay for a 3 course evening meal including a glass of wine for £25 per person per night. All items are from the main menu but a smaller number of items. Still excellent value!
ALL the staff were extremely helpful and obliging and took the trouble to acknowledge you in the corridors.More
