Amazing! Warm friendly greating, attentive service, superb food!
Pre diner drinks were fab, we ordered the 5 course tasting menu and every course, was explained on presentation, and absolutely delicious, not a great fish lover myself, and should have said, as that course could gave been changed. Cheeses were presented to and explained in detail, only wish we had room after the 5 courses the looked and smelt great, we were told we could always pop in for a drink and try the cheese another day. Great place, excellent highly presented and cared for quality ingredients, would highly recommend to anybody. We will be going again.

The "signature" tasting menu is highly recommended, great fun. Perfect service, good wine selection and useful advice from sommelier.
Some quibbles though - the menu starts much better than it finishes; desert part is not as impressive as you'd expect from the first dishes. Go for a cheese plate instead. It would be nice to have something between dishes for palate cleansing (you'd expect this from a place going after Michelin stars). Finally, I am not a fan of moody lighting - it's so dark most diners use their phones as torches to read the menu, which is absolutely ridiculous

We were booked into a New Year's Eve celebration with a special tasting menu designed for the evening. The restaurant was fully booked which was a great indication. We have eaten here before and thoroughly enjoyed Shaun's creations and the service by his front of house team. This evening was no exception.

In no other restaurant in Henley or the locality will you find consistent levels of exceptional service at both ends - from when the restaurant is relatively empty right up-to when it is busting at the seams with customers. They manage to deliver a superior experience carefully packed in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.

Then in addition to the above they deliver a tasting and eating experience beyond what you expect, with taste, textures, temperatures that consistently surprise you. You only have to ask any one of the front of house team what has got into a particular dish and they will explain to you whats in it and how Shaun and the team cook and create the final result on your plate. That tells you a lot! At what other restaurant can you get that?

Try and find any of the above at any other local or Henley eating place - you won't. New Years Eve was £85 per head including Champagne but plus other drinks. A relative bargain.

Well done Shaun and the team!

Booked last minute and so glad we did. Delicious 6 course menu, full of variety and beautifully presented. Beef carpaccio and the chocolate, frozen yogurt and honey dessert were highlights for me. A memorable evening in a pretty, friendly and very professionally run restaurant.
