It was a rainy day so decided to go in the city of caves, well they were not that busy so we did’nt have to wait very long, the guided tour took just an hour and was very good, guide was very knowledgable and quite comical at times, enjoyed the whole experience.

Visited with my husband, he usually has a low attention span, but amazingly he was fascinated.
The tour guide, a young lady, had a great sense of humour. She was friendly and although like any job, she must get bored, saying the same things over and over again. She didn't give that impression at all and seemed very enthusiastic and knowledgeable.
A brilliant tour, not like caves I have seen previously, the history contained within these sandstone rooms was extremely interesting.
Brilliant, would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Nottingham.

Visited the caves today with my boyfriend as part of the package with the Museum of Justice. Our guide was really knowledgeable and the caves themselves are fascinating. definitely worth a visit

A fascinating trip into over 1000 years of history. The guided tour is well worth the effort. Not suitable for those with poor mobility.

It seems to be the norm for guided tours I've been on lately, the guide feels it is imperative to make you laugh when what is really needed is facts, history and actual events - loads of them. Granted, we did learn some interesting stories but attempting to make us laugh at every juncture wasn't our guide's forte (a thing at which someone excels), that's someone else's job and for that I can by a DVD. The tour was around 45 minutes, this was explained in advance but, without the lengthy stops for humour the small section of caves they take you through could be explored in 12 to 15 minutes. From their website, " You will be given a hand-held audio set to guide you on your way". The day we visited we were not given any audio device, has this been replaced/removed? The actual length of the tour was very short (in terms of distance) but our guide 'stretched it out' and I'm sure there were locations we didn't see, places advertised that we weren't taken to that day (a Sunday) someone can advise me...
Out ticket lasts for one year, we'll probably go again if we're in the area to look for the bits we didn't see last Sunday, for now it's a 2 out of 5
