“Wonderful Apartment”
Reviewed 14 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

We spent a week in York and stayed in this lovely apartment. It was so comfortable and had everything you could wish for. Situated just outside the city walls and inky minutes walk from the Minister and city centre. Frank was SO helpful and accomodating even down to leacing milk and a bottle of wine. We also paid him a small cee tomuse his car parking space at the rear of the apartment in a safe a d separate chained off area. It was so handy to have the car there as it enabled us to have a day travelling to the North Yorkshire Moors, Whitby and Scarborough. Lots if lovely restaurants, cafes and bars. We recommended Gert & Henry's in the town and also Bettys for a wonderful afternoon tea. The most wonderful week and we would highly recommend this wonderfully, conveniently sitauted cosy apartment. Thank you Frank for such an amazingly comfortable stay.

“Excellent location, very short walk to Minster and restaurants.”
Reviewed 29 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

The apartment was as advertised and we were met by Jane who helped us park the car behind the apartment in a private park. This was excellent for us. Apartment was clean and had everything one wants for a comfortable, relaxed stay. There was a little traffic noise that we heard but as we were from the country which is silent, it was noticeable. We got used to it after 1 night, and slept very well.
Sainsburys nearby also helped tremendously. We visited many sights, attended the evensong choir in the Minster, which was lovely, as my wife had just lost her sister a month or so ago.
Restaurants we liked were the Cote brasserie, the Olive tree and Rustique.
I even played on the guitar in the room, as I was in a group in my youth. Bathroom and kitchen were very good. All in all a lovely holiday.

We were collected from the train station and taken the short ride to this well located apartment. It had all we needed and the Aussie bottle of red was an enjoyable welcome gift. The apartment was clean and well maintained. Highly recommended

“FANTASTIC LOCATION”

We have just returned from a 3 night stay here. From beginning to end (booking, payment, emails/texts with the owner, parking) the mini break was perfect. The car park is only 2 minutes from the apartment and the train station (we drove). It is also only 2 minutes from the Minister and the beginning of the beautiful city centre. We could not have asked for more. Frank was there to meet us at the car park and helped with our luggage. A bottle of wine was waiting for us along with some milk and refreshments for our stay. The apartment was clean and very well equipped and we had no problems during our stay. The bed was so comfortable I could have stayed in their all day!!! This holiday was to totally relax and was perfect. We used the kitchen daily to have a leisurely breakfast before we ventured out. We can thoroughly recommend any of the pubs in the city and Betty's for afternoon tea. The apartment is also right next to a Sainsburys which was handy for any bits and bobs you may need and a local take away if you desire however York is full of lovely places to eat. On our final night after a march around the city we just chilled in the apartment reading and watching DVD's - a perfect escape. So much better than staying in a b and b or hotel.............Couldn't have asked for more!

“Great place to stay in York”

We had a great time and the apartment was in a perfect location, very comfortable and as well equipped as a home, unlike most holiday apartments. My only anxiety about recommending it is that it won't be available next time we want to visit York!
