“Perfect for us.”
Reviewed 27 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

We stayed at Julie's Nunnery Lane residence for a week. The position was perfect. We were just outside the wall to the city and 5 minutes walk to a great kids park. We had two children ages 2 and 4 and the park was brilliant. Once the kids tired of doing the tourist thing we had the park incentive to use and use it we did.
The house was extremely comfortable. The bathroom being on the 1st floor meant the two staying in the attic room only had one flight to negotiate during the night. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms very well furnished.
The kitchen had everything one could want on a week away from home. We used the restaurants around the corner on Bishopgate as well as cooking at home.
Thanks Julie. Our wonderful memories of York were certainly enhanced by staying at 109 Nunnery Lane. The slice and bubbly were a lovely welcoming touch.

“The esscense of York”
Reviewed 16 August 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Julie welcomed us to a charming accommodation equipped to a high standard, and very clean . There are three levels. (The stairs will keep you fit.)
The bedrooms have adequate storage and beds are very comfortable. . It is very central within York, and has shops and restaurants close by. There is a lot of homely detail to make it feel very comfortable, books, radio, television, ornaments, pictures etc. Parking is a possible problem, but Julie directed us to a place close by where parking could be reserved at a reasonable cost. All in all we enjoyed our stay and wished we could have stayed longer.
Thanks from the Sheppard family.

“An Excellent Stay”
Reviewed 27 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Upon arrival we were greeted by the owner who was very friendly and was able to provide information about the immediate area. The property was clean and very well presented. There was even tea and cofffee available when we arrived.

The bedrooms were all well presented, and the beds were incredibly comfortable!

The house is in a great location as there is a mini highstreet literally just around the corner with all manner of restaurants, takeaways and independent shops. Either way we walked we were only about 10 minutes away from York city centre and only about 5/6 minutes from the tour bus stop and access to the York Wall. It is only about 15/20 minutes from the train station also, so not too far travel in any direction.

We had no issues whilst staying here and would heartily reccoment it to anyone who wants to visit York.

“Return visit to this wonderful cottage”
Reviewed 2 November 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Julie is an amazing host and had left us some basic supplies and a almond cake.

The house has everything you could want from kitchen utensils, comfortable beds, top quality linens and furnishings.

There is a well stocked selection of DVD's , books and games and free internet which was really appreciated.

There is a small outside patio where you could eat on warmer days and it's a short walk into town or to the railway station.

I wouldn't hesitate in staying here again and all her guest book visitors say the same.

“Wonderful place to stay!”
Reviewed 31 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

As soon as we walked in we could tell we would love it here. It's just brilliant. This house represents what York is all about . Mixture of modern and history. It's located very close to the centre and within reach of some shops. If we come to York again which I am pretty sure we will then we will more than likely stay here again. Honestly couldn't fault it. The only slight thing was the noise from the road. But that's not really anything major, its still a wonderful place that honestly if you get the chance to book this place, please do!
