We stayed one night in this hotel. The room was large but a little dated. It had a very comfy sofa in it as well as a nice sized double bed. The bathroom was tiny, with most of it being taken up by the large walk in shower. It’s very easy to get into York from here.
I must mention the staff in the restaurant. We had dinner and breakfast and the staff on both occasions were friendly and helpful. George was especially helpful to my husband who is disabled and walks with crutches. George helped him with his breakfast, even delivering it to our table. He also seated us closest to the buffet, so my husband could access everything easily. I don’t think we have ever had such exemplary treatment at any hotel we have stayed in. George is a credit to your hotel and company.
The helpers in the restaurant were efficient in their work and also friendly with one of them stopping her very busy work to ask us about our plans for the day.
We usually stay in Premier Inns but we will be staying in a Holiday Inn now. I hope that they are all as good as this one.
(You might wish to tell the cleaner to have a look behind the sofa in Room 109). More
