Have been several times but it never disappoints. Chinese Bullet train through to Royal carriages. Lots of new things to see. Went with family and the grandchildren absolutely loved the Mallard experience. Food was also good.

Perfect for our last day in York - lockers are £3 so don't bother with the far more expensive station left luggage. Lots to see; plenty of demonstrations, talks and holiday activities. Very enjoyable visit.

We all (me, husband and 3yo) enjoyed this. Being in York on an extremely limited budget it was great to find somewhere without an extortionate entry fee. Our daughter loved seeing all the different types of trains and it was really interesting for us too to see so many different types, from Queen Victoria’s to the bullet train and Eurostar. Great interactive demonstration to show children how steam trains work. We didn’t get to see it all and would definitely go back to see the bits that we missed.

Thank Charlotte D

One of the best places to visit - a good introduction for those who don't know much about railways, and a fantastic attraction for enthusiasts.

Kids love this place “wow they are sooo big “ talking about the trains .
My son had just done about Stevenson rocket at school, so he was amazed that it was there .
So many things to do , with interactive talks, steam train to go on .
4 hrs later , time just flys by here .
