Great 5-star accommodation in York. 5 minute walk to city. Large, clean and comfortable apartment with full kitchen and 2 bathrooms. Close to markets and grocery shops. Free secured parking and wi-fi. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will stay again in the future. Highly recommended!

Beautiful clean apartment with all amenities and secure parking. Close to the Minster and everything York has to offer. Would I stay again? I have already booked. A big thankyou to Sandra for a lovely stay in a historic building.

“Spacious apartment in a fantastic location.”
Reviewed 30 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We had a great stay in this apartment with our 2 kids aged 10 and 15. There were actually 3 bedrooms which meant no sharing for the kids, which both of them loved - especially the 15 y/o daughter. We were welcomed by Sandra, who had provided good instructions prior to the stay and showed us around the apartment. The apartment is not brand new, but it was clean and well appointed. Wifi and appliances all worked well. One feature of the apartment was that it stayed incredibly warm at night and had no need for the heating even though the temps outside were foolish. The apartment is on the second floor, serviced by a small lift which worked fine. There were not that many people around despite the block being quite large, so we never had to wait for the lift. Despite looking out over a carpark, we found the noise level to be very low and had no trouble sleeping. Probably the best thing about the apartment is the location. The supermarket is literally a stone's throw away, and it is a 3 minute walk to Monkgate, 5 further minutes to the the Minster and the heart of York with hundreds of shops, restaurants and pubs. We were there during the Food & Wine Festival and the place was heaving with people. A really great atmosphere. The one warning I'd give to travellers with a car is that the car space for the unit is located under a big tree, in which some local bird life must roost overnight. Our car was a real mess on most mornings until we resorted to using a plastic rain poncho in an attempt to keep it clean. Luckily there were buckets in the apartment which we used to ferry down water to clean things up. Don't know if these birds are a permanent fixture or we were just unlucky the 5 days were stayed. But apart from this were really enjoyed our visit and would gladly rent this apartment again. A great base to explore York and the surrounding districts.
