“Very clean cottage in great location for exploring Whitby and surrounds”

We had a lovely week in May Cottage, the cottage is very clean and well equipped. It had everything you could possibly need. The downstairs accommodation was a little cosy in comparison to the bedrooms but it was fine for a week.
The location was perfect for walking into Whitby, either directly into the town, to the station or to the West Cliff area. We also used it as a base for exploring the coast and drove up to Saltburn and down to Filey.
As we were completely new to the area I would have liked a bit more information in the cottage about the local area - supermarket info/maps etc. There was mention of maps but no map so I appreciate previous guests may have removed this.

“Well equipped and conveniently located house in Whitby.”
Reviewed 25 April 2017 for a stay in April 2017

We had a lovely week at May House. It is a short easy walk to the beach and the harbour, and also very straight-forward for shops. The house was smaller than we expected and was a little cramped (like so many holiday lets) but had a very well- equipped kitchen etc. The hosts were also extremely welcoming and accommodating.

Stayed at May cottage in February 2017, The minute you walked through the door you felt welcomed
You can see the owners real love for the place and gone that extra mile to give it that special touch
The welcome pack set you up no need to call at the shop for that much needed cuppa after travelling
It was a place you could kick off your shoes and relax.
The place had a homely feel about it, with a added luxury too
The rooms were individual and themed had a hard decision on which of the double rooms to sleep in.
Well done to Julie and Steve yourhard work was appreciated
Would stay there again.
