Found Sanders Yard by chance, and booked for just a one night stay - very well-appointed room (we had Room 1) Clinically clean and how great to see local produce being championed with local tea and biscuits in the room. Sadly, had to leave early and couldn’t partake of breakfast, but sure it would have been great. Excellent location, in the heart of Whitby - will definitely be back

A lovely find. Tucked behind Church Street in a yard. Wonderful food and friendly staff. The homemade soup was delicious (creamy onion today). The other food we saw coming out looked superb too. Nice outside area.

So very hard to get a table , but waited and got one
Had to order at the counter, and collect our own cutlery/ condiments , thought prices were a bit high to wait ourselves.
Food was ok but not good value for the pricing.
Sandwiches and coffees for a family of 5 mounted to well over £65 :(

Stayed here for one night and originally booked Jade Attic but asked to move as the beams were rather too low for comfort and I didn’t like the idea you had to leave the bedroom to get to bathroom - should have read other reviews! However we did move to room one and it was lovely. Very clean, tidy and welcoming. Bed was so comfortable it was difficult to get up! Breakfast was hot and tasty though we did hear people who had stayed the night before asking for ‘a smaller portion of beans’ - now we know why! But it was very good!
