We stayed for 2 nights with our Labrador.
We arrived in the afternoon and there were no available parking spaces close to the flat so we parked about 400 metres from the property and carried our luggage back. We looked out for a closer space for the whole time we were there but no-one moved their cars! It wasn't really a major problem.
On entering the flat it appeared tiny compared to the photos but it was immaculately clean and fresh and not a hint that it was an older property or dog-friendly. As with a previous review it was dark on entering but it was obviously a basement flat from the photos and fine with the lights on.
The stairs could definitely not be negotiated by a dog so one of us slept downstairs on the bed settee next to the dog basket! The bed settee was comfy enough for 2 nights and we had remembered to take our own bedding.
Whitby itself is a lovely, bustling town with plenty to do... boat trip, tour bus, dog-friendly beach and pubs. The Endevour pub on Church St allowed you to take your own food in to eat which we took advantage of... a great idea if you want to eat casually with a dog in tow. We were very lucky with the weather. I was surprised by the amount of litter in the streets and town and the bins were over-flowing with rubbish which was a goldmine for the seagulls!
Lovely apartment every thing you need, including tea coffee, sugar & milk & a choice of dvds if the weather is not too good,a great location, would definitely book again.
The apartment was spotless and furnished beautifully and the location was excellent.the staircase was a bit of a challenge as I have walking difficulties but after a couple of nights I was used to it. Would recommend to friends had a wonderful week
