Clean, comfortable B&B. Room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Great choice for breakfast, cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit, full English, toast, tea & coffee. Good location close to all amenities.

We had a lovely stay at the Waverley. From the moment we arrived until we finally closed the door behind us, Tania and Dave couldn't do enough for us and the other guests. A cosy and friendly b&b, everywhere was spotless and well cared for. Our room gave a stunning view of the Abbey, and the location was central to all the sights.
Then there was breakfast...brilliant! There was something for everyone, including this fussy veggie! Mr Earthintruder had a full english, which he really enjoyed.

And one of the big highlights was the spacious room with one of the most comfortable beds ever!
We wouldn't hesitate in returning - this is just what staying at the seaside is all about.

Just home from staying the best part of last week with Tania and David at The Waverley.
We had a fantastic time, were very comfortable and felt very looked after during our stay. Tania and David are great, friendly hosts, with solid and honest local knowledge.
The Waverley is a lovely of B&B, spread over three floors. We were in room 9 at the top of the building, and had a fantastic view of the Abbey over the other side of the harbour. David's breakfast was prompt and very tasty, setting us up for the day, while Tania's friendly stories and generousness shone through as she made sure we had plenty of tea, coffee and toast!

If you chose to stay at the Waverley, you will not be disappointed, and I definitely intend to visit again!

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the building face towards the abbey, over the harbour. The front of the house l...

The new owners, Tania & David were extremely welcoming and friendly and the room was clean, comfortable and had lots of extra little thoughtful touches. Breakfast was freshly cooked with ample amounts of toast, tea and coffee available. Thanks guys for a memorable stay perhaps I will have better look next time ;-). Will definitely stop here again.

Returned home yesterday from a Linedance Weekend in Whitby, and as has been the norm for the last at least nine years, stayed at the Waverley Guest House. The new owners,Tania & David were extremely welcoming and friendly and certainly lived up to the high standards we have come to enjoy every year.It is always very clean and is situated close to most amenities.I look forward to staying there for many years to come.
