We loved our short stay at 17 Colegate, in the ancient heart of the fine city of Norwich. We were looked after with the personal touch you can expect in a family run place (but don't always get!). The room was comfortable, clean and modernised, with a well appointed bathroom, in an old and charming house. Very good breakfasts were provided, and we enjoyed the full English (you can opt for continental) and the kippers were especially good. We would certainly stay there next time we are in Norwich.

Room Tip: A room at the front, on the street, might include some light traffic noise, but not enough to bother most people

The accommodation is centrally located, within easy walking distance of the shops and restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable and overlooked a charming courtyard at the rear of the building. The host was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very good. The B&B exceeded our expectations and we would recommend it to our friends.

Very warm welcome and very helpful, was going to Lets Rock festival and as soon as we got there, while we were putting bags in room he had organised a taxi for us. The room was number 4 in a very pretty courtyard. The room was lovely, very clean and had everything you needed for an overnight stay. Shutters on Windows were nice but found it awkward to open shutters to open window and then couldn't get slats to stay open so ended up leaving door ajar slightly to cool down while we had a cuppa before bed, luckily not a lot of people went past. Breakfast the next morning was superb, fresh fruit, croissants, pain au chocolates, cereals, yogurts, juice and then a choice of cooked breakfast or cheese and ham platter.Would definitely stay here again.
We couldn't get taxi home and ended up on one of the city centre buses which dropped us outside Debenhams, took us about 15mins to walk, probably lot quicker for most other people as we both have minor health problems

We stayed at no17 in Norwich on Friday as we were meeting friends for dinner and drinks .

We were given room no 9 and it was perfect, huge room , 2 sofas , comfy bed nice ensuite I couldn't of asked for better . This room you could live in that's how big it is .

Previous reviews of grumpy owner , sorry no way ......friendly maybe a little blunt when busy but no way grumpy . Breakfast was excellent and if I needed accommodation in the city again I would definitely book this one .

If ur thinking premier inn or travel lodge . Don't do it , go for no 17 .

Stayed in this lovely B and B for one night whilst away for work. On arrival I was greeted and showed to my room which was absolutely stunning. The room was huge, lovely high ceilings and very large modern bathroom. Outside there was a little patio set where I sat to eat dinner in the sun. Very close to the town centre and local places to eat. Breakfast was a selection of hot or cold to suit. Cannot fault my stay here at all, will definitely choose to stay here again and recommend to others. Thankyou!
