Always clean, calm and comfortable in the bedrooms and yet modern and buzzing downstairs. Superb location just a few minutes walk from Covent Garden and China Town. Excellent customer service. Great food and coffee

Room Tip: I have had most of the different types of rooms and they are all good. The smaller rooms are not suitable for someone with a lot of luggage

Great location between Kings Cross and Covent Garden. Modern, different, relaxed and very quiet even though our room looked on to a very busy road.

Vibrant reception, lounge and bar area ALL day and night. Only suggestion would be to consider having a residents lounge so they can escape the noise (DJ) if they would like a quiet drink, coffee and waiting area pre and post check in.

Room Tip: Don't be put off with street view as the rooms are super sound proof.

We stayed for two nights at a weekend for a city break to visit the British Museum. Hotel is really convenient for the Museum. We thought the room was great, and breakfast bag delivered to the room a good option. However, the first thing that was disappointing was on our first morning when we went to try and get coffee in the ground floor restaurant. A waiter who was clearing the table said he would be back to take our order but no one appeared for more than five minutes. As we wanted to get to the Museum we just left and for one on the way. If you are going to have table service you need to take an order within a few minutes of people sitting down - we only wanted a coffee! We left our room at 10am. On returning just after 3pm, our room still had not been serviced. I had to call down to reception and ask them to send someone. This is my pet hate on a city breAk. You get back to your room tired after having been out for hours and just want to relax before you go out for dinner. Then you have to waste time while someone comes to sort out the room, when they have had hours to do so when the room was empty. The receptionist did not even apologise. Not impressed.

The friendliest, funnest, most convenient place to stay in London. So pleasant and handy you could never go anywhere else! The rooms - super quiet and super well-designed. The service - so friendly. The restaurant - rapid service, friendly staff, good food.

Ok, so this place has a lot of pluses! It’s in a great location with lots on your doorstep and the West End a stones throw away too. The decor is cool and funky and the staff are great. Despite being on main roads it is very quiet.

The real let down for me is the rooms. We stayed in cosy double, and it was very cosy indeed! I’ve stayed in CitizenM hotels quite a bit and I think the real advantage for them is that they don’t try to make a tiny room look or act like a conventional hotel room. Instead they completely redesigned the whole room concept and despite being tiny it works. The rooms at The Hoxton just don’t work for us - two people with luggage tying to navigate around a very tiny space that isn’t really that well designed (but very well styled I have to say).

As I say, lots of pluses but I’d avoid the smaller rooms. Also the bar area gets VERY busy so go to the Princess Louise pub a few doors down which is a real gem

Really sorry to learn you didn't love the room though and that it didn't seem so functional for you – that’s a real shame, our team do design carefully to utilise the best of the space. Next time though, we’d maybe suggest a roomy for a little more wiggle room. Hope to see you back soon!
