We booked this hotel because it was relatively close to the center (Oxford St., Regent St.) and the price wasn't that high. When reflecting we decided it wasn't worth saving the money and we would gladly pay 100 pounds per night extra for another hotel.
The entrance of the hotel isn't that welcoming. As a Choice member I expected to get some benefits as I get in every Choice hotel I stay. But not here, it was because I didn't book through their website, a worthless excuse if you ask me.
The room seemed nice, but if you looked more closely you saw how dirty it was, especially the carpet and bed. The bathroom was below average, the shower was dirty, it was very small and there was no space to put things. Also the window in our rooms couldn't close, as we noticed at the end of our stay (we had our suspicions but we didn't see it was open) so we had a lot of noice from the street.
The room was not the worst thing in this hotel, the breakfast was terrible! We had breakfast two times here, the other times we went to a restaurant for breakfast.
The breakfast consisted of croissants, strawberry jam, small (Tesco) muffins, butter, soms yoghurt, undrinkable orange juice, tea, eggs (that were boiled to long) and some other things. When I go to breakfast I at least expect some cheese, ham,...We booked this hotel because it was relatively close to the center (Oxford St., Regent St.) and the price wasn't that high. You also get an school cafetaria feeling if you see the blue plateau's.
This hotel didn't give me the Choice Quality I get at the other Choice hotels I visited. If I could decide it I would kick them out of the Choice group.
I would recommend everyone to look to another hotel and pay a bit more for a decent hotel with a decent breakfast.
