“Only for one night!”
Reviewed 6 June 2012

You really do get what you pay for - we only paid £70 for two with breakfast which was a double room with ensuite and to be honest being right on the doorstep of lots of London attractions we knew that it was not going to be the best. There isn't any hotel facilities and as said in previous reviews the reception area was really small however the staff checked us in with no problems & were really friendly (check your change if paying in cash as we were shortchanged!) unlike many our room was ready when we got there about 12:30pm - the hotel is really outdated and it does looks like someone who is not trained did the decorating on the cheap! Beware there are 5 floors (lots of stairs no lift) our room had two double beds sheets were clean & beds surprisingly comfy. The ensuite was tiny - no towels (not even a hand towel) and again looks like it had been fitted on the cheap also dirty wasnt too pleasant! Things that could be annoying are no milk with tea making facilities only whitener & no spoons. Breakfast just toast and cereal - no fry ups! Overall it was just a place to get a nights sleep wouldn't recommend for any longer

we needed a cheap overnight stay, having read other reviews i was a bit apprehensive but on arrival i was surpised.entrance clean, the room itself a little squashed and in need of a lick of paint but we only needed somewhere to crash for the night so it was good enough.the man in reception was helpful, the beds were really comfy so much so we missed breakfast! beware they dont leave t.v remotes in room (due to previous visitors taking them and so making the tv useless) but may ask for small returnable deposit.(fair enough) would we go they again... yes we would. + location, near to all attractions
- need a little lick of paint

Room Tip: dont go in with high expections and it`ll be fine

We stayed here on the 4th may.arrived at the hotel just before 12 on the sat morning.we was shown 2 are room.it was clean n the bathroom was modern.the beds could be changed we had a quad room(2 double beds) they are very dated.didn't hear much noise.we had breakfast on Sunday it was ceral,toast,tea/coffee and pure Orange juice so a good choice n jam 4 the toast.we was gonna stay there again.we left are bags when we checked out and was charged 2 pound each,we paid that and when we got back an old man I think might be manager said we owed them another 2 pound each becoz there was 6 bags so they wanted 12 pound from us.so they want you 2 pay 4 each bag.r bags wasn't very big and they wasn't even locked up.we wasn't happy with the attitude of this man the other staff were friendly.u can get something better for ur money

I stayed in the corbigoe in December with my boyfriend. I was very apprehensive after reading the reviews on this website!! We arrived around 11am and were told that our room would not be ready until after midday. The hotel staff were very helpful. they showed us where we could leave our bags and gave us directions and advice on where to eat etc. when we arrived back in the evening we were shown to our room. it was very small but had a big double bed and a television and new ensuite bathroom. isn't that all you need really? the hotel was not noisy at all!!. in the morning we were shown to a nice breakfast room. breakfast was ok, cereal, toast and tea/coffee. a fry would have been nice but im sure not many budget hotels offer that! we only stayed for two nights and are room was cleaned and sheets changed after the 1st night. we were charged £1 to leave our bags in the hotel until we were leaving but i wouldnt complain about that!!
Great base for exploring london if you are on a budget!! right beside a Pimlico underground station and very close Victoria train station!!
Overall, not as bad as the reviews make out....no luxury here but not 'a dump' either!! a bit like the B&B in Eastenders!!!

Room Tip: Specify a double room with an ensuite!! if not, You'll have to use a shared bathroom
