The swimyourswim team decided we would like to have a quick trip to London to see a comedy, we had seen a theatre show in the summer and Leon had been robbed about it not being funny ever since. We arrived at the theatre for the 2.30 showing, we had seats in the upper circle. As there were 10 of us that had made the journey down the night before and had all been for a swim at the amazing Olympic pool that morning spirits were high.
The music playing got us all in the mood, the play started and so did the laughs. The cast were superb with a brilliant mix of skills, the timing in some of the scenes was sublime. Comedy is about timing and the actors were slick, the bed scene had us all in stitches and the physical skill on stage was breathtaking.
If you have a sense of humour make sure you go and see the bank robbery, great sets, fantastic voices and as slick as Teflon.

We went to the Criterion to see A Comedy About A Bank Robbery and enjoyed every minute. The tickets were reasonably priced and the seating is comfortable enough for you to sit through a while play without discomfort.

The auditorium is pretty good for small to medium size productions and feels quite intimate, so you don’t feel too removed from the action. The theatre staff are helpful and friendly.

Whatever you do, try the Criterion ice cream, it’s lovely.

Brilliant comedy full of laughter in the best of farce tradition with some new twists.
I will not even try to explain the plot or want to.But the result is a very enjoyable and hilarious experience.
When booking be aware that the theatre has a lot of pillars supporting the upper circle so some seats have restricted views. This highlighted on booking sites.
A great show Highly recommended
