We recently stayed four nights at the Apex Temple Court on Fleet Street while attending a friend's wedding. Fleet Street surrounding the hotel is full of great coffee shops and restaurants, and very close to a train station with an express train to Gatwick and other airports. So the location was just perfect, within walking distance to King Street and St. Paul's, and many other destinations. The hotel itself is very chic, and we thought our room was the perfect size (a great king bed, with a spacious bathroom with tub and shower). I was particularly impressed by the gym, which was very well updated and spacious for a city hotel. The daily breakfast was top notch, I really enjoyed the eggs benedict, and the daily buffet spread was perfection. The staff were all very courteous and friendly, without being too pushy, and were there to help whenever we needed. I think the Apex is the perfect option for those who want to stay in the city but still want a top notch level of comfort and style.

I have only high praise for this Hotel. Stayed with friends who had also arrived after long haul flights from New Zealand and Australia. We had no problem sleeping in the quiet and comfortable room. Staff were all great. Cleaning of rooms was always perfect. Breakfast was the best Continental breakfast we have experienced. Area was good and close proximity to transport including the train for Gatwick was excellent. Would certainly recommend this Hotel to anyone coming to London.

If you can afford it, this hotel is excellent! Courteous and professional staff, comfortable bed, spacious bath (with separate tub and shower), lots of room, good wifi, great location just a few steps from the Thames, 10 minutes' walk from St. Paul's, 15 minutes' walk from Trafalgar Square.

We stayed in this hotel for 8 nights in mid-August. The room and the service exceeded our expectations.

LOCATION - in the center of London, it is just off of Fleet Street, behind another building, so it is sheltered from street noise. The back side of the hotel faces The Temple courtyard, so it is quiet. It is a 10-minute walk to the Temple Underground station, and a 10-minute walk to St. Paul's Cathedral. It is 5 minutes to the Temple Church (Knights Templar). There are three nearby grocery stores and many restaurants, a currency exchange, and pharmacy.

ACCOMMODATION - comfortable, well-equipped room with generous closet space for two occupants. It has a comfortable desk and chair and in-room safe, and iPod speakers. Modern bathroom with a large shower stall and an oversize bathtub, an electric towel heater, and a lot of shelf space for toiletries. The hotel is immaculately CLEAN.

SERVICE - we were very impressed by the service we received from the hotel staff. The concierge, JOSEPH, went out of his way to help us when my wife developed a sinus infection. Joseph was able to summon a doctor to the hotel in less than 2 hours. He was also very helpful with our travel arrangements. It is understandable why Joseph was invited to be a member of the Society of the Golden Keys.

We also received SUPERB service from LAURA and MAGDALENA at the front desk, who were very helpful with arrangements of our activities during our 7 days of touring London.

Room Tip: Request separate beds or synthetic pillows, if needed

Great hotel, and surprisingly close to all the main attractions including the West End, Chinatown and Covent Garden. Lovely courtyard inside the hotel for quiet drinks surrounded by hundreds of years of history.
