This is a new hotel, located just off Fleet Street amongst the buildings of the Inner Temple, close to many historic buildings (including the Temple Church) and ‘across the road’ from the Royal Courts of Justice. It is very quiet and well-appointed. We were upgraded to a suite for our multi-day stay; and the room’s size, aspect and quality were very good. The Club Lounge was nicely furnished and spacious, with variable quantities and range of refreshments throughout the day. While noting the comments by other reviewers (especially about the limited range), we found the food and service at the restaurant to be very satisfactory and would eat there again. All members of staff we encountered were outstanding – welcoming, engaging and helpful. The hotel is reasonably pricey, but not unduly so for quality accommodation in the City of London in summer, so we would say that it represents very good value.

We stayed at the Apex in June 2012. I have stayed in a few hotels in London, and this was as good as others that were almost double the price we paid. The hotel is very clean and modern. The room had a large comfortable bed and a big bathroom with both bath and shower. The hotel is in a good location for exploring the city. We booked through the website but we managed to get a deal, so it was cheaper. I wouldn't pay full price for the room - although that makes it around the same price as other 4* hotels in London, and it is up to standard, there is no need to pay full price when there are good offers on. We didn't have breakfast but we did have some pre-dinner drinks in the bar, which were really lovely. The doorman was also very friendly.

I have business in the immediate vicinity so the location is great for me but generally pretty well served for City and centrally. It's pretty much as I want. I didn't dine but bar is good and well-priced. Good selection. Really nice balance of cosy and fresh, contemporary.
Decent sized clean bathroom.
Not too much carpeting and drapes that hold the flotsam and jetsam of a city hotel.
Decent free internet throughout.
Great TV (if you need that)
Decent work space
New gym
Ample selection of great restaurants and cafes on the doorstep
Please don't tell anyone!

Room Tip: was unformately next to elevator "because higher floors are more quiet" (!) but can say it...

Smart, professional hotel based in Central London's Fleet Street. Ideally located for (a) lawyers- as it's only a stone's throw from Inner and Middle Temple, and (b) people on holiday as you are right in the centre of London within walking distance of St Paul's Cathedral, the Royal Court's of Justice, Temple Church, and the Victoria Embankment to name but a few. As the hotel is located on Fleet Street, you have instant access to the main bus routes and taxis, with access to the central, district and circle lines as well as City Thameslink and London Blackfriars Station only a 5 minute walk away.
The hotel itself has a modern theme with spacious double bedrooms that have all the facilities you would expect of a hotel which caters for those on business. The hotel has a nice cocktail bar and lounge, although dining options are limited (which is not really a problem given that you can easily travel to external restaurants of a night time).
All in all, a great hotel which I would certainly consider staying at again.

I spent one night for business at this hotel.
Room was very large, with fantastic bathroom and a truly comfortable bed.

The location is great, because it's effectively on Fleet Street, but in an inner courtyard, so very quiet.

it's all super new and with a very cool style.

Only minor drawback is the restaurant. I had dinner there as it was showering outside and they also gave me a discount voucher. Food is OK, but not terribly impressive. The menu is limited and not terribly inspirational. Nothing wrong with it, but just not too impressive. Staff were friendly, but looked a bit lost.

Breakfast buffet is very, very limited, one of the smallest I have seen in similar quality hotels. Again nothing major, but it looks as if they need to adjust a bit this part of their service.
Hotel has just opened, so it may improve in the next few months.

Anyhow, all in all, I'd definitely recommend this place.
