Me and my wife decided on going on an early wedding anniversary vacation this year and visit a few cities in Europe (feel free to read my reviews on the hotels in Paris and Belgium)
Our First Stop was London, England as I have always wanted to visit England for the longest time and I was super excited for months before our trip reading up on everything. We stayed at this fabulous Hotel which just opened up in March and the service was amazing that you felt like it was been in operation for years.
Check In - I asked for an early check in and a higher floor with a view and both were honored without question. We checked in the hotel and met the lovely Bris who took care of us and made us feel at home. She was very friendly.
Room - The room was huge, the bed was a king size and it felt good to just lie down for a few moments and relax before we went out to explore the city. Nice Ipod docking station to play music, the bathrooms were also huge with top amenities provided. Everything was clean, there is nothing to worry about with this hotel. The WiFi is super fast which was great!
Bar/ lounge - really nice ambiance and the drinks were reasonably priced.
Restaurant - the food smelled wonderful, sadly we did not eat at the hotel as we prefer to visit the city and try other places but it smelled and looked great if that helps?
Service - Francesco the concierge was top notch, he provided us with a Map of the city and told us where to go. He even secured reservations for us at the Savoy Grill because it was amazing.
Location - The location is perfect! It is not in the middle of the tourist madness and the temple train station is 3 blocks away. Walk on Embankment and you can see the river Thames. Walk on Fleet Street and you can hit Covent Gardens in 5 minutes.
Only negative thing I have to say about this place is that it is sort of tough to find. I think the problem can be fixed if they added a flag pole with the Apex temple Court banner flying. The hotel is in the Temple Section and so you see these grand structures and the hotel is inside one of them. The giant green elephant and red carpets make it obvious but on the outside I feel a flag pole would suffice.
When we come back to England I will definitely stay here again!! I am telling all of my friends about this place!!
