Description: Muriel’s Kitchen is a lively London bistro brim-full of British charm serving fresh, seasonal produce seven days a week, from morning till night in the heart of South Kensington. We serve every meal of the day, and everything in between, from 8am till 11 pm (9 till 10 on Sunday), in our unique contemporary kitchen-inspired interior. Brekkies and catch-up brunches, family lunches, romantic dinners and our famous afternoon tea; We do healthy, we do hearty, we do cocktails, we do cakes. Stop in for a cuppa and a natter. A catch up or a first date. If it’s raining, why not stay longer? Have a coffee, try a milkshake. Past three? Afternoon tea! Laden with glossy cakes and dainty sandwiches, served with a pot of the good stuff, what could be more British?

We looked at most of the restaurants near South Kensington station before heading off to the museums. Muriel's just looked good.
We have not been disappointed at all. We ate off the brunch menu which was delicious. Try anything with a poached egg it's wonderful!
Service is quick and really friendly.
The usual measure for me is if I'd come again. I would like a shot.

As always this great restaurant never disappoints. Prompt and friendly staff. Really delicious food and plenty of it. I had the fish pie and green vegetables. Just yummy. Good variety on the menu. Lots of choice for vegetarians too. Would thoroughly recommend a visit.

Had a great little brunch - avo and poached eggs on toast. Eggs poached perfectly and the avocado tasted great with the honey mixed in

Great location too by the natural history museum. The coffee was delicious too!

Four of us wanted to grab a coffee and a quick bite and despite having two free tables we were informed that because we wouldn't commit to lunch we couldn't have a table. Promptly left and won't be back, AVOID!

I was meeting a friend for coffee and decided to arrive early to get us a table but was told very bluntly that I was not permitted to sit until my friend arrived as they had a "full seating" policy. Never heard of that before not even in the fanciest of venues but apparently this place is so in demand that they can force people to stand and wait and not settle in and have a coffee while waiting for other guests. What a terrible way to treat visitors. When my friend did arrive and we ordered tea and cakes we were told we could only stay 20-25 minutes as we were seated in a dining only section (at 11am!!) - so we were moved to a window bar where we were most kindly allowed to stay a little longer. How rude, really. The cakes may be good (not quite as good as they seem to think actually) and the atmosphere warm and cosy, but rather than absolutely maximising profit by filling every chair with meal-eating clients, they could relax their "policies" (we were told these indeed were their house policies) and just let their clients relax and have a more enjoyable experience. There is really no excuse for rudeness and sadly due to a transient crowd the staff don't actually care about client retention or satisfaction they just want to squeeze as much out of every customer as possible. I used to go often, but after this policy change will not be going back and will not be recommending friends to do so either.
