“Loved this hotel”

This is a great spot for a weekend stay in London. It is really close to Liverpool St tube station which is handy if you're flying into Stansted. I often sleep badly in city hotels because of traffic noise and humming aircon units but this was amazingly quiet and tranquil. The beds are great. We had two very restful nights sleep. It is really handy for exploring the area around St Pauls, Tate Modern etc on foot and Bank tube station is on the Central line which brings you right into Oxford St. We didn't have breakfast here so can't comment on the food. And I love the honesty bar- a low key night cap is just what you want after a busy day.

Stayed at the Threadneedles for New years eve 2010. We had a deluxe room which was large and luxurious. The staff were friendly and the place had a very relaxed mood to it. Will stay here again for sure.

Room Tip: Go for the deluxe.

My husband booked this hotel as a birthday surprise for me and I have no fault to find with my one-night stay. The room was lovely, the staff were attentive and friendly, and were happy to serve us with drinks in the foyer when we arrived back after a late-night stroll along the Thames. I can't comment on the breakfast as we decided to give it a miss and enjoy a lie-in on Saturday morning before lunch. Thanks for a delightful stay.

I would like to express my appreciation to hotels' staffs for great and kind assistance. It was during Easter Holiday and my wife birthday. I wanted to book restaurants but most of resturants were closed and I had no plan at all. However staffs from the hotel booked very nice restaurant for us (perfect for celebrating my wife's birthday) and they even prepared rose petal and Champagne in the room when we came back to hotel after dinner.

It was the perfect gift (we just got married so it was her first b-day since wedding) for my wife!! & best hotel experience ever!

I become a big fan of Threadneedles and will definitely stay again!

Room, service and location are great! very easy access to most of places in London.

Room Tip: If you are looking for very quite hotel, threadneedle should be your choice. This hotel seems more f...

Located right in the heart of the City of London near the Bank of England. I used the hotel at the weekend as the area is quiet but onlt 10 minutes from the West End.
The old banking hall is beautiful and rooms are beautifully appointed using some of the listed features like fire places and wood panels. They are not the biggest but the beds are comfy and the bathrooms swanky.
The hallways are laughably dark like they are still using candles but otherwise can't fault the physical attributes of the place.
However DON'T DO BREAKFAST. The hotel obviously sets it breakfast prices based on the mid-week business account crowd who don't care or notice but £22 plus service for their full breakfast is one of the great rip-offs in London. The rare breed that made the sausageS must be near extinction as I only got 1 or was it a half (incidently available as a side order for £3.95 as was half a grilled tomato). The breakfast potatoes were three mini versions of the hash brown you get in McDonald and by mini I mean think the size of a 20p piece. You get one small glass of Orange, and one small pot of tea, don't dare ask for another. You get toast and pastries, the later you will have to ask for and you have to share with your partner. Service was slow and we saw many agitated.
They need to lower the price at the weekend as people are paying with their own money and be sensible with the portions and ditch the lowsy potatoes.

Room Tip: Get a room at the back as the road can be noisy especially during the week.

Thank you for staying with us. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the hotel and I am sorry that you found our prices for breakfast not of good value for money. We have duly noted your comments and are constantly reviewing our prices and quality that we offer versus our competitors. All our guests’ feedback is important to us and we appreciate you taking the time to review your breakfast experience.
