Only stayed the one night this time but have stayed before on previous visits, room, staff food etc were great, only issue that we had was that there are no grip rails in the bathrooms for getting in and out of the bath and as the shower is over the bath problem there too and for people of a certain age that is a BIG problem. Overall if that was sorted I would definitely recommend this hotel. It is a short walk to Buckingham Palace and the park.

We stayed at The Grosvenor Hotel for a week in October. Fortunately, when I booked, there was a deal with an executive king room, including access to the executive lounge and daily breakfasts. The Executive Lounge was no doubt the highlight of our stay ... a great escape to the busy city which we could access daily. From 5-8, happy hour included free wine and beer as well as a large range of hot and cold snacks, which actually filled us up so much that dinner was not necessary. Becky, our happy hour hostess, was by far the most friendly, professional and generous staff member of the hotel and managed to make sure all of her guests had their drinks replenished regularly and ensured that food was topped up when required. I must say, I’ve read a few of the other reviews about small rooms and unfriendly staff. I think we were very fortunate to have booked the Executive king room and have the executive lounge thrown in with Becky of course! Love your work Becky! If we did not have this added bonus, I could see why people may rate unfriendly, inattentive staff. In fact, I witnessed some male staff harassing female staff in larger eating areas and this is not acceptable !!

Wishing you well Becky ... and I hope you get to enjoy a happy hour somewhere where the staff members will be as lovely and friendly as you! ( although that would be a hard task!)

Dear Reviewer,
Many thanks for your five star review following your recent stay at The Grosvenor. We were delighted to read your comments about Becky who was voted our Employee of the Month for October due to the many compliments she receives from our guests and colleagues. She really is one of the shining stars here and it was such a morale boost to get a personal mention and recognition for something that comes naturally to her. I was however, disturbed to read your comment about the harassment of some of our other team members and would like to reassure you that this sort of behaviour will not be tolerated. I have personally asked my Food & Beverage Director to address any issues in this area. Thank you once again for your feedback and if you sign up to our newsletter we offer some great deals. We hope to welcome you back on another occasion.
Kind regards, Toby

What a place! Enormous, elegant and stately, a bit overwhelming and definitely a throw-back to another time.
Despite everything being immaculate and well maintained there is a slightly worn feeling about the place that conjures up for me, an American, visions of country houses of another century.
In a practical sense it is good value for the money, superbly located adjacent to Victoria Station, close to the Coach Station and any number of must-see sights, including palace and parks.
The breakfast is generous with a lot of choice. Our room was well-sized with nice bed linens and towels.
We were thrilled to spent time in this grand old railroad hotel and would highly recommend it.

I have trouble with my knees, so walking long distances is difficult. Having the hotel immediately adjacent to the Victoria Station made seeing London... possible! There is even a back entrance to the hotel that opens right into one of the main halls of Victoria Station.

The hotel is very nice. Not perfect, but quite nice. The only trouble we had was that the shower/tubs are a really awkward height and stepping in and our was quite awkward, even for my tall husband. Other than that, everything was just as it should have been.

Dear Reviewer,
Thanks for your very nice post on our hotel. We certainly do have an excellent location nestled in the corner of Victoria mainline station and our side entrance allows easy access to public transport links which are a stones throw away. Some of our bathrooms do have separate showers and should you decide to stay with us again, please do let us know beforehand and we will do our very best to allocate you one of these next time.
Kind regards, Toby

It took over 1 hour to check us in, as I had multiple rooms booked the receptionists couldn’t cope with it. Check out was just as dire. Executive Lounge was great, made the stay worthwhile. If we hadn’t had access to that it would have been a very poor review. Rooms were ok, but the tv has no free view or sky, just basic bbc, itv, 4 and 5. Internet connection was very good though.

Dear Reviewer,
Thanks for your post. I was sorry to read that our usual high standards of service let us down on this occasion, but our Executive Lounge made your stay with us worthwhile. We have taken your comments on board and are currently in the process of upgrading our televisions. Should you decide to stay with us again we hope you will notice an improvement.
Kind regards, Toby
