This area is steeped in history, it’s been the home of politics for ages. At breakfast I heard conversations about ‘seats in the house’ and ‘BeNeLux’ countries. The area is also well to do and in an exclusive part of London.

There is so much to do, come visit and learn! Maybe even be motivated to try and make the country better!!

Recently at the cenotaph. So much history in a small area, just walk around and look. Everywhere is a photo opportunity .

Brilliant seeing this building, such a shame the tower was behind scaffolding, but the old man on the river needs attention so it can ring out the time for another 100 years.

Big Ben, Parliament Building, Westminster Abbey, Hyde Park... Many symbols of London packed in this region and you can spend more than a day by walking around and discovering Westminster.

Great part of the city. You can see the more rich and more beautiful part of the city. Great architecture of the buildings

This is one of the great urban areas of the world. Everywhere you look there are historic buildings where important events have taken place.

There also are statues of some people who did important things like Gandhi and Churchill, as well as people who at least for this American tourist, were not so well known. As an American, I had not known about her. But in reading further, I found that according to wikipedia, "in February 2018 Fawcett was announced as the winner of the BBC Radio 4 poll for the most influential woman of the past 100 years"

So, this area is not just about gawking at big, historic buildings. There's lots to learn.

So many iconic buildings in such a small space. Sadly Big Ben is currently shrouded in scaffolding, but the abbey, houses of parliament and the river combined remind you how iconic this area of London is.

Though it feels a bit touristy I like walking around Westminister. It always has a bit of a buzz, and there is the odd bit of politician spotting and demonstration gawking to do to. Worth a visit
