“Quite a nice place for the price and location!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 April 2012

We were looking for something budgety but with a good location and decided on the Comfort Inn.

This was for an overnight stay for the football and to spend a bit of time together. We had a room on the top floor which was small, not great views but it did the job. Seemed to be recently renovated the good state it was in. Everything worked and was clean. Working AC, TV, hairdrier etc. We also requested an additional blanket which we got within 5 minutes of the request.

Breakfast is basic continental but still good. Cereals, toast, croissant, OJ, Tea, coffee and fruit were on offer. Can't really complain with that. Staff were friendly and even let us off for checking out half an hour later due to us running late. Much appreciated for that! I'm probably being picky here as the only fault we could find was the plughole in the shower was a bit slow draining the water.

Manage your expectations before booking. This is a small hotel so don't expect luxury but for £70 a night WITH breakfast opposite Hyde Park in Bayswater what do you expect? There are plenty of hostels nearby which are probably charging close to this but without the cleanliness or additional facilities.

Room Tip: Go for higher floors as the rooms aren't as crowded. You get a free breakfast thrown in the pric...

Hello,

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights in March 2012.

Positives:

o The location is excellent; only 5 mins walk from Hyde Park and Queensway underground. There are places nearby to eat for a reasonable price. The hotel was quiet and we slept very well.
o The staff were very friendly and always met us with a smile.
o The free breakfast, although "continental" was good, with cerial, toast, fruit etc. The WiFi was also included in the price and worked well.
o The room was very clean and came with kettle and coffee etc. It looks new.
o We paid 85 pounds a night which I think is very good value for that part of London.

Negatives:

o The bedroom especially the bathroom were not exactly gigantic; for example when you washed your face it was hard to avoid getting water on the floor. However, this is what you get for the price so no major complaint to be honest.

Overall if we could get a similar rate in future we would stay there for sure.

Cheers,

Jonathan

Stayed here for 2 nights in March 2012 with my boyfriend for a weekend away. It is in a good location being only 5 mins walk away from Queensway tube station, & opposite Hyde Park. Our room wasn't ready when we got there but the manager gave us our key & let us leave our bags there which were then put in our room for us. The hotel looks to have been recently decorated so was in good order, out double room was quite small but was perfectly ok, very clean & nice bathroom with a good shower. tea, coffee & water in the room. cannot comment on breakfast as we preffered a lay in after 2 nights at concerts!!! Staff were friendly. The only thing I would say is that the quilt was quite thin which didn't matter as it was warm weather but may have been chilly in colder weather. would definately stay here again.

Clean room, nice bathroom, comfortable bed. However, some noise at night even when in a back room and someone burnt the toast and set the fire alarm off at 7 am. The hotel left the alarm running for 10 mins!

We were given an early check in (at 10 am), the staff was really friendly and the room was very clean, everything was there. The room was small but that didn't bother us, it was just for sleeping. Although we had a room on the street side, there was no street noise at night. the hotel is very close to two tube stations, and not far from Paddington station either. Breakfast was rather basic, not the "English Breakfast" that was promised, just some toast and croissants with jam and cheese, but it was sufficient. Plenty of restaurant in the adjacant street, and very close to Hyde Park and Kensington Park, a very nice neighborhood to stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a nice clean place to sleep and is'nt too fussy about space, because the room ARE small.
