“Terrific location”

Perfectly located in quiet Belgravia neighborhood, but near Victoria Station. Rooms quite small and bathroom even smaller. Friendliness of staff was uneven. Overall, I would return for another stay.

Stayed 3 nights at The Lime Tree in May 2012. Fabulous neighborhood. Absolutely charming little hotel. The very cozy, tastefully decorated room, on the 2d floor, and in the front of the hotel, did have some road noise, despite the double windows (the interior window did not seal properly). Aside from that one point, the hotel was an absolute complete delight and I loved returning to the hotel at the end of the day. A simply wonderful staff (charming night watchman), great full English breakfast in a beautiful dining room with lovely windows overlooking the street. All in all, the perfect location. The free internet in the lobby worked flawlessly. The staff at the hotel was genuinely hospitable. Very convenient to Victoria coach and train stations. I definitely would stay here again. The hotel added so much to my enjoying my visit.

Room Tip: Rooms on street side may not be as quiet as one would like.

I stayed at the Lime Tree Hotel for two weeks in May 2012. It is true what many other reviewers say--the staff members are wonderful. They go out of their way to help and to make you feel welcome. The room I had (#15) was very small, but well-designed. It had very high ceilings and tall doors that open onto a small balcony. It was on the street side, which I liked because it's such a nice neighborhood. There is a bit of noise from the street, but all I had to do was turn on the fan and it drowned out the noise. Room 15 is on the "first" floor, which in the UK means one floor above ground level. There are stairs and no lift, but the staff members will happlily assist you with your luggage if you'd like. If you require wireless internet, be sure to ask for a room on the first or ground floor. Other guests mentioned that the wireless doesn't reach the second floor well. There is a computer for guest use though. There is a lovely large garden with tables for guests to enjoy--it's a nice refuge after spending a day in the busy city. I have to mention the breakast, too. It is so good, fresh and made to order. And the staff will remember what you like after you've been there a couple of days. The location of this lovely hotel is perfect for walking to many places, and taxis like this nice neighborhood, too. Also, it's a 5 minute walk to Victoria Station, where you can get a bus or the Tube. I look forward to returning to London, and when I do, I'll return to the Lime Tree Hotel.

Room Tip: If you require internet, be sure you choose a room on the first or ground floor, as the wireless rou...

We stayed at Lime Tree for 10 days in May 2012. The rooms varied from very small to quite large, we had one of the largest rooms which was very comfortable. The staff was very, very friendly and accommodating. They alone would be a reason to stay at this hotel.

The location is about two blocks from Victoria Station in Belgravia which made it very convenient for transport links, buses, underground, etc. Also, the hotel's street and surrounding streets were relatively quiet with not much traffic which made walking around the neighborhood pleasant.

The daily breakfast included in the room rate was first class with a choice of cooked or cold items. You could mix and match the offerings so that you weren't bound to a specific menu - everything was cooked to order.

We paid 175 pounds a night which is pricey but not when you consider the costs of staying anywhere in London. Plus, this is an Olympics year and the Queen's Jubilee, so London was packed already with tourists and I think the prices everywhere reflected this.

Lovely well run small hotel. Quite the best area in London. Family owned. It's obvious visitors return despite no lift or air conditioning. Single rooms very small. I'd opt for double room. Lots of good restaurants and cafes locally.

Room Tip: No lift and no air conditioning. Not a summertime hotel.
