One of the very few letdowns we had in our trip. This monument was covered for renovation. Maybe next time.

How sad to hear that this was such a letdown. Please understand that the restoration works are long overdue and completely necessary. As you say, maybe on your next visit to London, the clock and the Tower will be back working and even better than before!

Big Ben is part of the Houses of Parliament. The clock and its booming bell is obviously a massively famous icon of London

Unfortunately it is currently undergoing massive restoration and is covered in scafolding and sheeting so its completely hidden from view

Suggest you check the web site before you make the journey or you’re going to be disappointed.

We were excited to see this landmark only to discover it is almost completely covered up bring restored. It should look great when done in a couple years.

A great historic place to visit. However it is under renovation. I did not recognize it at the first. The river is beautiful. It so good to walk along with your partner.

While we aren’t able to see the entire structure we did get to see the top prior to being boarded up for 3 years for restoration.
