Decided to stay here in July 2011 because of good location, reasonable price and reviews.

Situated near enough you could throw you luggage from the tube station to the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The room I was in was in the basement in the part on the other side of the street. That didn't bother me, although I would of course preferred to stay somewhere above the street level. I guess the hotel was fully booked and I guess someone has to stay in the basement (and, a room in the basement is better than no room at all). The sink was in the room - which was quite weird but that didn't bother me. Being in the basement has the added bonus that there is cool there - even if it is very hot outside! Don't remember if the room had air conditioning, but in case it didn't, it didn't need it even in July.

The hotel is in a quiet place although it is next to the King's Cross station - so no problems trying to sleep!

The breakfast was well cooked English style - and in case you start getting tired of eating beans and bacon (as I do) - I recommend the continental one they offer as an alternative. The breakfast is served by friendly staff - which I considers a bonus in contrast to a buffet.

I would recommend this place to someone visiting London, and I think it deserves the positive reviews given here!

I found this hotel when I was looking for somewhere to stay to catch the early Eurostar to Paris. The hotel is very quaint and the lady on the reception was very polite and kind, showing me to my room and saying I could get breakfast early if I would like.
My room was a single ensuite down in the basement and it was small but that's what I expected. The room was very clean and the bed comfy.
I would recommend this place if you are needing a hotel for the night whilst in London.

Staff are very friendly and helpfull, the room was a bit small, but nice and clean and quiet. Breakfast was good traditional English (with a good vegetarian alternative). The location couldn't be better: just across the road from St. Pancras and not too far from central London: we walked back from Trafalgar square in about 30 minutes.

We have stayed here on several occasions. Every time we are impressed by the clean bright rooms, not very large, but manageable. The staff are pleasant, the breakfast excellent and sets you up for the day. Finally, this hotel is so close to St. Pancras and Kings Cross stations that catching an early train does not present any difficulty. We would not consider going anywhere else.

Room Tip: All the rooms look as if they have just been newly furnished and decorated, tv and tea and coffee su...

Stayed here in a triple room with family in May '11. Nice cosy place. Excellent breakfast. Location great. Close to tube station and St. Pancras. Very convenient for all travellers intending to catch the Eurostar to Paris. Room size decent considering European standards. Only drawback - No elevator, you have to lug your own baggage upstairs through a really narrow and steep staircase.
