“Great hotel !”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 March 2012

We stayed at Grosvenor House JW Marriott for 4 nights.
We had a really great room, it was big and, clean and comfortable.
Next to our own bed at home, it was the best bed we ever slept in.
We had a room towards the back of the hotel and it was very quiet and nice.
500 meters from underground station Marble Arch at Oxford Street.
They have a couple of nice restaurants, fitness center and a little cafe, the food is supposed to be good but we never had the time to try it.
We will certainly return another time.

Room Tip: Room away from Park Lane...

We had 5 rooms of 2 booked for here after a black tie ball in the ballroom, there was a huge amount of hassle and waiting around to be checked in, took almost an hour for the process to be completed as there was not sufficient staff to do the job. However the hotel was clean and shiny, and the lobby smelled beautiful(!) but this did not fully extend to the rooms, we had suites booked for our party, they were huge and wonderfully furnished, but it was basic things that let it down - improperly folded flat sheets on the bed, dated shower curtain (would much rather have glass shower doors) a few chips here and the in the marble of the bathroom. Minor things, but not what you expect from a 5* Park Lane Hotel. The bed was enormous, with fat and soft pillows and high quality linens, and the food was excellent. Overall, a mixed review, but would definitely keep staying there as the views are spectacular and the experience is rather sublime.

Room Tip: Upgrade to a park view room or suite as the standard rooms have not so gorgeous views of the inner w...

Just a couple of lines to reiterate what a great hotel this is. We stay here on a regular basis and usually get an upgrade. This particular time was no exception and we were given a huge suite overlooking Hyde Park (actual cost approx £1500 per night! ouch!). Probably the best hotel room I have ever stayed in!
I have never had a bad stay here and hence it comes highly recommended. Enjoy.
PS
I have stayed in other JW's and this is the best one so far.

Room Tip: They are all pretty good but I do like the view of Hyde Park from the front of the hotel.

We stayed here for 5 nights including new year's eve. I used Marriott points and was upgraded to a junior suite. The suite had 270 degree views on the top floor overlooking the city (views of the London eye and Houses of Parliament) as well as Grosvenor Square and the back of the American embassy. The room's bed and furnishings were of a high standard and the room was large for three of us (my partner and son). The room service was excellent and efficient and the service really made us feel at home. The location of this hotel is second-to-none with a 5 minute stroll into the west end or just walk across the road to Hyde Park. We loved it and will go back again!

Average rooms & good staff.

But it is not a high standard as others JW that I have been.

This one is just normal.
