“Great Location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 April 2012

We stayed in this hotel as part of a train, hotel and theatre break deal with Trainline. Great location and 5 minutes walk to Euston staton/ underground. The room was very clean with a good sized double bed and great wet room. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was on a bed and continental breakfast deal however you were given a wide choice of breakfast options including cooked breakfast, pancakes, eggs benedict. The Original London open top bus tour stop is also on the same street which was great for us as we were using this service. West end is also in walking distance to this hotel. Would definitely use this hotel again when we visit London

I stayed here for a business trip. It was a pleasant surprise as so many central London hotels are indifferent.
The check in was friendly. My room was OK unless you wanted to spend any time in it. Small but well formed would be a good description as it appeared to have what you wanted in a compact setting. The bedroom did have a small desk and wardrobe as well as its double bed. The bed was in an area the same length as the bed so had there been two of us, one would have had had to clamber over to get to their side - but would have been rewarded with a bedside cabinet of their own! The bathroom was about the same size as the bedroom as it was adapted for wheelchair use. Drench shower etc. It was fine for my purposes which was somewhere to sleep. No trouble with noise in the room.

I enjoyed my breakfast with a nice selection of freshly prepared food (or maybe it was because I was there at 7am - the start time). Waiter in charge was friendly and efficient. Also the breakfast was on the ground floor so had daylight unlike many gloomy basement rooms that hotels offer.

Check out would have been a challenge if more people were leaving as they had only one credit card machine in operation.

I would stay here again next time I need to stay in the area on business.

My husband and I stayed overnight on 13 April. Room was lovely, staff were very friendly and helpful and the restaurant was very nice, although there was a rather annoying couple of very loud guys in there, but that wasn't the hotel/restaurant's fault. Food was good, although they had run out of one of the things we tried to order which was a little odd at 8pm on a Friday night. Really can't fault either the hotel or the restaurant, other than that. Breakfast was very nice indeed, although expensive

My wife and I stayed at Ambassadors for 2 nights from 12th April through a Daily Telegraph deal

Excellent hotel in great location for nearby rail stations and London attractions and theatres.

Number 12 Italian restaurant within hotel is first class.

Hotel team extremely friendly and helpful

Room fine for a short stay

We stayed on a DBBB offer with secret escapes to go to a gig at Scala for my birthday. Overall impressed and pleasantly surprised. Walking distance from kings cross.
Room good size by London standards, have stayed in some much smaller rooms at big named hotels! Bed was huge, comfy and 6 pillows, no complaints here!! Complementary water, magazines, bathrobes and slippers were a nice touch. Bathroom is a wet room not massive but nice and fit for purpose with bathroom amenities.
Food in the restaurant was nice at dinner and breakfast service with a smile can't complain about either meal.
We had a room on 4th floor at front of hotel n had some road noise but to be fair not that bad and you are in a busy part of London!
This is an independent hotel with good facilities - there's a small gym minimal good standard equipment didn't get chance to use it though! Overall impressed with the hotel and would probably return.
