“Great little hotel and lovely staff”
Reviewed 16 April 2012

My husband and I stayed overnight on 13 April. Room was lovely, staff were very friendly and helpful and the restaurant was very nice, although there was a rather annoying couple of very loud guys in there, but that wasn't the hotel/restaurant's fault. Food was good, although they had run out of one of the things we tried to order which was a little odd at 8pm on a Friday night. Really can't fault either the hotel or the restaurant, other than that. Breakfast was very nice indeed, although expensive

My wife and I stayed at Ambassadors for 2 nights from 12th April through a Daily Telegraph deal

Excellent hotel in great location for nearby rail stations and London attractions and theatres.

Number 12 Italian restaurant within hotel is first class.

Hotel team extremely friendly and helpful

Room fine for a short stay

We stayed on a DBBB offer with secret escapes to go to a gig at Scala for my birthday. Overall impressed and pleasantly surprised. Walking distance from kings cross.
Room good size by London standards, have stayed in some much smaller rooms at big named hotels! Bed was huge, comfy and 6 pillows, no complaints here!! Complementary water, magazines, bathrobes and slippers were a nice touch. Bathroom is a wet room not massive but nice and fit for purpose with bathroom amenities.
Food in the restaurant was nice at dinner and breakfast service with a smile can't complain about either meal.
We had a room on 4th floor at front of hotel n had some road noise but to be fair not that bad and you are in a busy part of London!
This is an independent hotel with good facilities - there's a small gym minimal good standard equipment didn't get chance to use it though! Overall impressed with the hotel and would probably return.

I stayed 2 nights for a business trip in a single room. The room was small but it was ok for me as I only slept and had breakfast at the hotel. It has been recently refurbished and the bathroom is big and new. No bathtube though. Everything was very clean and new.
They have buffet breakfast, different options as I can remember. i had the basic one, toasts, butter, marmelade, eggs, salmon, ham, cheesses, fruit juices, coffe and tea, croissants... complete and good quality.
Location is excellent, near Euston tube station and 15 minutes walking to Camden and 15-20 to Covent Garden or piccadilly.
Staff is friendly and happy to help.
What i didn't like: Wardrobe was tiny. For 2 days one person it was ok, but as i was staying 3 more nights at another hotel i missed some more space. Bathroom: it's really fantastic but it had a big frosted window with a frosted door = at 6.30 in the morning my room was full of daylight.... bathroom doors should be opaque!
My overall experience is positive though. I had been in nasty old hotels in London, so my stay was definately pleasant. I would come back.

1 night on business, read the reviews so when I checked in I mentioned the comments about small rooms, as soon as the words Trip Advisor were uttered a manager took over the reception and found me a big quiet room at the back of the hotel.
Nice clean room, a bot spartan in it's decor.
The location is perfect for Euston - 5 min walk, there are restaurants and pubs around here but the area doesn't have a nice feel to it unlike other areas.
Breakfast very good, and able to leave luggage all day for collection before the train back.
