We stayed for 3 nights over the Jubilee weekend, arrived in London at breakfast time but our room was available, there are apparently over 500 bedrooms so flexibility to provide for this.Staff on reception were very friendly and helpful, took time to explain everything, impressed.Hotel is only 18 months old so rooms are modern but a good size for London, the combined tv/internet was particular bonus with a clear picture and satellite sport channels available.
The hotel was full so we didnt use the restuarant for meals until the 3rd night when it was a lot quieter, the meal we had was very nicely cooked and for a London hotel reasonably priced although the 12% service charge which seems common is a little annoying to somebody from the provinces. The waiters were relaxed and pleasant.
Because the hotel is near to the City there isnt the choice of restuarants and bars you would find in the West End,the atmosphere is also very quiet. The hotel is probably more geared to the business market but as a tourist we had a lot of positives.Close proximity to the tube and river at Tower Bridge are 2 advantages
Taking everything into account i would thoroughly recommend this hotel.More
