“Clean, convienent, and a nice manager”

I'm torn between a 3 vs 4 bubble rating, but I highlight the positive and not great aspects. Booking was easy, and the owner/manager was quick to answer any of our questions. They provided great directions on how to arrive from the airport to the apartment. They are located in the same building so it was nice to be received by the manager on arrival. She walked us to our apartment and showed us around. They even brought up our luggage, which was a nice touch after our long flight and train ride.

The location is nice, but be prepared to walk or buy a bus ticket. Walking to most of the major sites is possible if you don't mind trekking for 30-40 minutes, which we don't. Buses are reasonably priced so when we got tired we hoped on a bus, and the bus stops right down the street.

The biggest downside was that the free wifi was only functional if you sat in the uncomfortable chairs in the kitchen. Coverage rarely worked in the living room, and was non-functional in the bedrooms. There was limited supply of toilet paper and paper towels, and we ended up buying our own.

Following this review, we installed new kit to boost the wifi. Fast and free wifi is now available in every room of the building.

London is 35 miles wide and while most of the attractions are in the centre, there is no one perfect district in which to stay where everything is within a 20 minute walk.

Take, for example, London's four UNESCO World Heritage Sites; Greenwich in South East London is 9 miles from the Tower of London and Tower Bridge, which are a further 3 miles from Westminster (this apartment is in between Tower of London and Westminster) and it is yet another 8 miles out to South West London to see the fourth World Heritage Site at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew.

This apartment is in Bloomsbury which is in zone one on the tube (subway/metro) map and is very much in central London. For possible future guests reading this review, I would ask that they consider other travellers who have described the apartment as being in a 'great location', 'well-located' and 'central'.

“Well located”
Reviewed 23 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

This apartment was very comfortable, modern and well-located. Was so easy to get to - from Heathrow, no tube change is necessary - and is close to all the attractions. It is also in a relatively quiet area.

“Perfect Place to Stay in London”

After staying in apartments in Rome and Paris, we were overjoyed to discover the space of this apartment. It was huge compared to our other places. The kitchen is brand new and the overall condition is fantastic. The location is great as we were able to walk to St. Paul's easily and the tube station was just a few minutes down the road. Melissa is great to deal with and the staff in the business below will attend to any needs that you have. London is a great city to visit and this apartment's location is perfect for seeing all the sights.

“Conveniently located and well appointed, this apartment provided excellent value in a great neighbourhood.”

The apartment was conveniently located to public transportation (tube and busses), particularly from Heathrow and the neighbourhood felt safe and was reasonably quiet. It was also located near grocers and restaurants. It was surprisingly spacious, including a huge living room, 2 large bedrooms and a large eat-in kitchen. It was convent to have the proprietor downstairs during business hours and when I needed to contact her outside business hours by email, she responded within 1.5 hours (which I considered reasonable as my request wasn't urgent).

Overall, we were very impressed. The kitchen came fully equipped with both a dish washer and a washer/dryer (although the dryer didn't really dry the clothes, so the clothes rack provided was needed). The bathroom was spacious and included both a large shower stall and bathtub, with excellent pressure, but we found that the tank for the toilet took a lot of time to fill, which sometimes caused a problem with 4 people using the apartment. The bedrooms were large and had excellent lighting and mirrors, however, the beds were very firm (which would be the preference for some, but not us).

“Wonderful Flat in a Great Location”
Reviewed 18 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

The flat is located close to great tube connections (make sure you get an Oyster pass; ask the staff or someone at a machine in the tube station how to get a pass - don't stand in line). There were great restaurants in the area (Lady Ottoline and Skinners Arms). The flat is very spacious (especially by London standards). The neighbourhood is relatively quiet after spending a day in the hustle and bustle of downtown London.
