Spent two weeks here at the Olympic Games..great location close to Oxford Street shops, Bond St tube, and Hyde Park. Very friendly and efficient staff..great food although like most things in London on the expensive side..only real down side was the charge for internet at 15 pounds a day..when will this sort of charge be done away with? Have had free wifi in many parts of Asia and North America..and in some places in Europe..

The staff of the Grosvernor Square Hotel were very personable and did everything possible to make my stay a wonderful experience. You are only a couple of blocks from the Bond Street Underground station where you could reach all the attractions of London pretty quickly, therefore a car wasn't needed. Shopping is also right around the corner. If you have time and the money, try Chef Ramsey's restaurant in the hotel as well. The only drawback of this hotel is that the internet was 15£ a night and when converting that to the American dollar.. that is just RIDICULOUS!

Short Version: Great location, excellent concierge lounge personnel, bad mattress. I would stay again.

I stayed here for a week in July. We stayed for free using our points so I can't reference the value for our dollar. What I will say is that I was going back and forth between this property and the JW on Hyde Park. I'm certainly glad we choose this property due to its location to the tube, and the local neighborhood eateries. The JW is only a 10-15 min walk, and although it doesn't seem like much, it does add up. I have to say the concierge lounge was the best I have ever experienced. It was not so much the food but the service. As opposed to another experience at a similar property in Amsterdam, here the food was constantly refreshed, plates collected, drinks refilled, etc and most of all, all done on time. The breakfast was the typical continental fare, light afternoon snacks, and maybe a heavy appetizer at dinner. The hotel room was small but clean although the bed was terrible. It felt like a sumo wrestler slept on my side of the bed for a month straight. That is one thing that drives me nuts at nice hotels, why don't you replace your mattresses? I can get a better night sleep on a hampton inn bed or holiday inn express bed at less than a 1/3 of the price. Great front desk personnel. We did see a popular film/tv actress there from the U.S. so you got to figure it's pretty damn good.

Husband, daughter and I stayed here over Easter break. We arrived in the standard front desk morning rush from the US; of course room wasn't available yet but they checked our bags and called within an hour or so. Our room faced the Square, which was lovely. Would recommend requesting. Room was bigger than some others I've had in cities but nothing too special. Hotel pushes their Maze restaurant which we didn't try but breakfast was fine. This is a great spot in a quiet neighborhood, walk to tube, etc for shopping and attractions. Front desk staff efficient and polite.

This is a great hotel to stay in London, whatever the reason to visit the city. It is recently refurbished, managing class with modernity, warmth with respect, quietness in a very central location. The rooms with view to the Square are wonderful. Inside, one feels the luxury, the spaciousness and the facilities of a modern establishment and from the windows one gets the beauty of this city and the greenness of the Square. In one of our many visits as a couple we stayed in a wonderful room with a small wooden deck in the inside courtyard. This room (perfect for a romantic stay), has very stylish (though definitely fake) fireplaces both indoors and at the small veranda, allowing one to stay outdoors, even when chilly. The bathroom of this room had a "window" opening into the room, making it look even more spacious and luxurious. In our family visits, we prefer the rooms with a Square view, at the top floors. They are spacious for the three of us, with a comfortable sofa bed for our son. The personnel is very polite and helpful. The hotel is 2 minutes walk from Oxford Street (exactly by Selfridges) and another 2 from Bond Street Underground Station, making any type of communication so easy. The Executive lounge is a great place to have breakfast, see friends, rest with a drink, work. Having stayed in more than 7 different hotels in London, this is the one I consider a "home away from home".

Room Tip: Top floors with Grosvenor Square view are excellent The Executive ones in the courtyard, very roman...
