The last time I stayed at this property was in 1990 and it was called the Britannia. Now, in 2011, nothing has changed...same carpets, curtains, furniture...can't tell if the mattresses have been exchanged. The only hotel in memory that still has cheapish-looking shower curtains that one has to mess with. Some rooms have walk-on showers, but those are in locations where internet connectivity is poor. The executive lounge is narrow and outdated although snacks are good. Did not try the Spanish sparkling wine on offer, but the Diet Coke was excellent.

Room Tip: Be prepared to make at least one sacrifice: either get a view or internet connectivity or a bathroom without old shower curtains..it takes a huge balancing act to get all three -- it is challenging to get two. One of the features is no problem.

Booked for a Saturday night - shopping/dinner/theatre. Great location in classy Mayfair so you have a safe and secure walk to and from which made it an ideal base. Staff all very polite room very clean breakfast was tickety boo. Some reviews made me concerned but I need not have been...would both recommend and stay again which are the the key accolades.

Room Tip: Staying at the front might be better than the back - some early morning deliveries

You're never going to find a good cheap hotel in London, but this one is a good middle market one. Service was good. After reading reviews here we upgraded to king room and exec lounge. Was it worth it? Maybe, although we probably didn't spend enough time in the hotel to take real advantage. Unlike many central London hotels there is a decent covered smoking area. Also a good pub 2 mins walk away if hotel bars are a bit stiff for you. It's about a 20 minute walk or 5 minute taxi to the west end, so not a bad location. Cheap parking in Audley Sq if you go at the weekend.

The Mellinnium Mayfair is a nice, older property, centrally located. The hotel is easily accessible to tube, taxi, and walking. Plenty of dinning and shopping options close by. The rooms are a bit small, but well appointed. Customer service is excellent, though you will be hard pressed to find any bargins. Rooms, dinning, internet and business centre pricing all seem to be about 20% higher than one would hope, but no one ever said London is a value destination.

This hotel has style, class, nice decoration and valuable services.
The rooms are clean,well-decorated,spacy and classy.
The quality of facilities is very high-level .
The traveller has the opportunity to enjoy a plesaunt night in the hotel restaurants and the cosy piano bar.
Especially the piano bar is a very sweet memory from my trip and the best way to finish your day.
Finally this hotel is located in the best place in the heart of the best restaurants and shops.
Last but not least i should mention that the rooms have wonderful view at the Grosvenor's Square.

Room Tip: Select a room with view at the Square.
