“Highly recommended, very nice hotel with brilliant staff.”
Reviewed 30 August 2012

We booked this hotel threw lateroom and got an incredible deal, we arrived before the check in time and were able to leave our bags in a holding room so we could explore without having to lug our bags around. The staff were/are incredibly helpful, the service was brilliant. Our room was cosy with an amazing view of tower bridge, the other party we were with got a deluxe room for no extra cost (again booked threw late room) We did not eat at the hotel so cannot comment on the food, but i cannot understand how anybody has any complaints about this hotel at all. Set in a brilliant location minutes away from a tube station with some wonderful places to eat just around the corner. This is my first time staying in london and i would defiantly stay at this hotel again.

The check in experience was great and we were upgraded from standard to deluxe. The views across the river were superb and the staff were excellent with the exception of the concierge who was uninterested in answering some questions about taxi and tube travel. The room on the 7th floor was clearly a better room but the decor was showing its age. Having stayed in numerous London hotels this is very good value and the breakfasts at Wetherspoons Liberty pub next to the tube are great and excellent value.

Dear Reviewer,
Thanks for your post,
I’m really pleased to read that you found the team to be excellent however I’m surprised to read your comments about the Concierge Team. I’m really sorry that you found the team member to be unhelpful; we receive consistently positive feedback about Concierge so I will certainly follow up on this.
I hope that we have the chance to welcome you back again soon.
Kind regards
Ian

We had 2 nights which we picked up on a special offer, £90 per night for the room including full english breakfast and a voucher worth £20.12 to be redeemed on drinks at the bar. Rooms are slightly tired but clean, the views of the Thames and location couldn't be better. will go back.

Room Tip: Quieter on the higher floors.

This hotel, next to and with views of Tower Bridge is in a great spot, with the Tower of london within a few hundred yards too. St katherines dock which is actually a marina is at the back with lots of resteraunts surrounding it.
The hotel itself is very smart with a mixture of tourists and business people as its clientele.
We were on a cheap coach trip with Omega holidays so we obviously wouldn't get the best of the rooms. Nevertheless, our room was excellent. Very clean with a good view of the marina etc.
Restaurant food was excellent too.

We would definitely stay there again, and are considering going again next spring.

Room Tip: Doesn't really matter because the views are good from all angles, although next time we will ask...
