“Spotlessly clean, good location”

Check in was easy, offered breakfast at a reduced rate but declined this option. Room on 6th floor near to the lift. I was a bit concerned this might disturb me but it didn't.
The room was a single, and therefore fairly small but the bathroom was quite large in comparison. The decor is modern and the bed is very comfortable.
All room facilities were fine, a decent hairdryer, an iron, toiletries, tea/coffee/kettle.
Location is just around the corner from Holborn, there are loads of restaurants around to eat in. Ideal for shopping and sightseeing.

You can get room service, or eat in the brasserie or bar but I opted to go out for food and drinks instead.

I got a deal from Agoda to stay here.

My one complaint would be that the floor in the main foyer was quite slippy (it had rained a lot) and I did nearly fall at one point. I am sure if I had mentioned it to the staff they would have put something down on the floor but I was in a bit of a rush. Perhaps something they can be more aware of in the future.

I booked 2 single rooms via the laterooms website for a colleague & myself to stay overnight prior to a conference at Great Ormond St. I found it difficult to find single rooms that weren't basic B & B or extortionate luxury but this was just right in terms of price, location & quality. Rooms were very clean & comfortable with good facilities; plenty of tea & coffee, hot choc, biscuits & even 2 complimentary bottles of water.
We were given a voucher for a free drink in the bar for filling in a survey at check-in which was an unexpected bonus. The bar area was lovely, especially some really high-backed sofas that made you feel as if you were in your own little booth.
There are stacks of places to eat & drink literally on the doorstep & it was an easy walk to Euston & Covent Garden.
I would definitely stay here again.

Been or being refurbished (there were still some wet paint signs around). The single room I had was small, but away from the street noise. All was new, clean and just as needed for a one night stay. I have the three course £12.95 dinner, not expecting much, but it was really tasty and well put together. Breakfast was the same - reduced to £10 and good creamy scrambled eggs on the buffet (my personal test of a good breakfast). Will stay again.

As a loyal Accor's member group, so we stayed in Mercure London Bloomsbury for the first time. We found the location is superb, quiet but not too far from Tube station and British museum. We had one 3 bed room which is very nice of a size which the double bed room is quite small but still within acceptable. In our offer we got was free WiFi but when checked in we were informed that limitation of 2 MB per day per room applied. Oh ! But finally all 5 days we had been there hardly able to use because the router had problems with iPhones or iPad, is what we had been informed. Front desk service is very good but the replenishment from housekeepers are quite substandard. They always missed this and that. So I would say that if they would they could do better.
