“*Tiny* rooms. Clean. Decent bathroom. Fantastic location.”
Reviewed 2 April 2012

I needed a place to stay 3 nights in Central London, and this hotel's location is unbeatable. It is on Great Russell Street, a stone's throw from British Museum, and a 2-minute walk from Tottenham Court Road Station. But I couldn't afford the higher prices at any of the other hotels in the neighborhood. My only conditions were: an attached bathroom and a clean hotel.

Cheshire Hotel met both those conditions, and while the hotel is nothing to write home about, met my requirements fine.

It is clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Absolutely no complaints there.

The rooms are tiny as tiny can be. The bathroom is as large as the room, which was odd but I was grateful for it.

Stayed here for 3 nights . When we arrived got to our room in the attic ! No tea or coffee facility's , first morning after a noisey night there was no water at all ruined our planned day as couldn't wash etc. had to go over the road for coffee ! We were told it was the area? Strange as cafe opp had running water we were given bottled water . Great location as everything in walking distance but that's about it .

I had a room booked here for a business trip but never got past reception. They had suffered a flood and couldn't accommodate me. They organised a room at the (fairly) nearby Tavistock Hotel so all was well, but I wonder why they couldn't have let me know in advance as a lot of time was wasted and I was almost late for "The Ladykillers" since the Tavistock is a lot further from the west end. These things happen though, and they did their best. I'd like to try to stay again as the location is very good - just round the corner from Tottenham Court Rd station and the reception looked nice. They did offer me a coffee as well.
